Singapore AROHAs Had A Spicy Night With Cha Eun-woo at His First Solo Fan Concert [Mystery Elevator]

Cha Eun-woo held his first ever solo fan concert – 2024 Just One 10 Minute [Mystery Elevator] in Singapore at The Star Theatre on the evening of 13 April 2024.

The fan concert kicked off with Cha Eun-woo singing 10 Minutes and Fu*king Great Time. At the end of Fu*king Great Time where it ended with him lying on the floor, Cha Eun-woo greeted Singapore AROHAs while still laying there. After a simple introduction, he continued with the song STAY.

The emcee of the show hyped up Singapore AROHAs to bring Cha Eun-woo back on stage by chanting “사랑해요 차은우” (saranghaeyo Cha Eun-woo). The concept of his fan concert “Mystery Elevator” is a device that will bring him and Singapore AROHAs together to everywhere they want to go. The emcee proceeded to tease Cha Eun-woo that he travelled from South Korea to Singapore within 10 minutes in the Mystery Elevator to meet his Singapore AROHAs, which Cha Eun-woo gladly took the joke and Singapore AROHAs proceeded to laugh at how cute he responded.

We have to say that Cha Eun-woo’s command of English is so fluent, he did not have to depend on the translator that much during the fan concert!

The first segment of the fan concert brought Singapore AROHAs to the 97th floor. Why the 97th floor? Because he was born in 1997, of course.

The 97th floor is a special select store that sells special items chosen by Singapore AROHAs. We see a Rose, Black Rimmed Glasses and Cute Apron, Angel Wings with a Wand, and a Sword with a Prince Uniform being pushed on stage.

The first item that Singapore AROHAs recommended for Cha Eun-woo to pick was – Angel Wings with a Wand, and the mission for this item was: To read the English translated lyrics of his song “Alone With You“. After Cha Eun-woo completed the mission, the wish for Singapore AROHAs was for him to put on the outfit, and say in the most angelic and cute way “AROHA, let’s be together forever”, which led to massive screams from the crowd.

Cha Eun-woo proceeded to pick Rose as the next item and his mission was: Share 3 TMI for today.

TMI 1: What made Cha Eun-woo laugh a lot recently? He replied “now” and proceeded to laugh out loud.

TMI 2: What was the food that he wants to eat after the fan concert? He shared that it would be chili and pepper crabs. Singapore AROHAs also recommended chicken rice and laksa. He added that if laksa is not too spicy, he should have no issues trying it.

TMI 3: What was the word he wants to hear the most from Singapore AROHAs? “You’re the best” is what Cha Eun-woo wants to hear the most.

The emcee then proceeded to teach Cha Eun-woo some Singlish words which he picked up rather quickly and was heard using them throughout the fan concert. The first Singlish word was “Aiyoh“, which is akin to “Aigoo” in Korean. the next Singlish word that was taught to him was “Shiok!” which is to describe something that is delicious or nice. Lastly, he was taught “Wahlau eh!”, to be used when something is bothering him.

The wish for picking up the Rose was to place the rose in his mouth and stare at the camera in his most sexy and spicy way. Cha Eun-woo then decided to put what he had learnt in good use and quipped in “wahlau eh!”, drawing laughter from the crowd.

The third item that Cha Eun-woo picked was the Black Rimmed Glasses and Cute Apron. His mission was to draw a fan on a sketchbook within 30 seconds after putting on the items. A male fan was picked from the crowd and 30 seconds later, Cha Eun-woo showed the audience what he had drawn. He even added the words “Spicy~ Boy~” on the drawing. Cha Eun-woo wanted to express the fan’s yellow hair but he only had a black marker, so he drew the fan’s 2:8 hair parting, as well as his eyes, nose and lips. The fan was jokingly unsatisfied with Cha Eun-woo’s drawing and Cha Eun-woo proceeded to comment “wahlau eh“. The wish for this item was to put the marker in his mouth and look very thoughtful like an artist.

The last item was a Sword and a Prince Uniform. The mission was for Cha Eun-woo to re-enact a scene as a romantic fantasy male lead, saying the line “It is lovely to meet you, Will you marry me?” The wish was for him put on the uniform and while welding the sword, to say “Your highness, I have no hesitation in my sword” in the most majestic way. Singapore AROHAs voted for Prince Eun-woo as the look they liked the most.

The next stage was the fan concert’s special stage and during the sound check earlier in the day, Cha Eun-woo even practiced with his fans and he hoped that everyone can sing along and have fun with him. He performed As Long As You Love Me by Backstreet Boys, something special that he prepared for Singapore AROHAs.

After a change of clothes, Cha Eun-woo returned on stage with First Love, before proceeding with the next segment of the fan concert: Level 215 – Chacha Studio

This is a corner where he wished to take photos w Singapore AROHAs. A couple of lucky fans were chosen from the audience and were invited to stand up and strike a pose together with Cha Eun-woo from their seats. He was even taught to say Selamat Hari Raya to his Muslim fans.

Cha Eun-woo proceed to sing a few more songs such as Crazy Sexy Cool, Candy Sugar Pop, Jealousy (which he recomposed just for the fan concert) and U & I.

Coming back up on stage looking like a prince in white after an outfit change, he performed Love Sailing, which was an OST from his first big screen debut – Decibel.

The last segment of the fan concert, we were brought up to Level 413, where the constellation observatory is located. He collected a few constellations from his fan concerts in Seoul, Kuala Lumpur, Bangkok, Japan and Manila and here in Singapore, he would be making a new constellation. The last time ASTRO came to Singapore was in 2017 and it has been 7 years since then. Cha Eun-woo shared that it feels different now that he is back in Singapore having this fan concert as a solo artist. Singapore AROHAs gave him such a warm welcome and made so much warm memories with him together at his first ever fan concert.

He shared that he has a gut feeling Singapore AROHAs and him will see each other more often in the future after this fan concert. He then proceeded to draw stars in the shape of a crescent moon that represents the crescent moon on our Singapore flag. He added that at the end of the fan concert, even though fans and him spoke in different languages and have different cultures, they still understood and connected well with each other. Even though he was unable to express himself fully in words, fans still could understand him and vice versa, and that was something that fascinates him. Thanks to Singapore AROHAs, he was really happy.

With the last song, Memories, fans turned on their phone flash lights for a special fan event.

Returning back on stage for the encore, Cha Eun-woo changed into something more casual and sang You’re The Best. A fan project video made by Singapore AROHAs was flashed on screen and Cha Eun-woo watched the video silently, but we could tell that he was really touched by the fan project. In his words, “You guys are the best. Really thank you so much from the bottom of my heart.”

The fan concert ended off with a group photo session with Cha Eun-woo and his Singapore AROHAs. He thanked everyone, saying that he had such a great day and he promised to meet again next time. Love So Fine (OST for True Beauty) was the last song for the night before Cha Eun-woo successfully concluded his first solo fan concert in Singapore.
