SORN is back with her first full-length album “letters left unread“! Built from some of her most vulnerable and introspective writing to date, SORN opens up about the emotional complexities of a situationship she personally experienced.
Across the tracklist, she captures the emotions and aches of going through the highs and lows of a situationship, with each song written as a letter.
“I didn’t think the album would turn out like this,” SORN says. “These were just diary entries I hadscribbled down and never planned to share. But revisiting those entries made me realize how much I’ve grown since then. At some point it felt right to share my story, and I hope it brings listeners comfort to know that they are not alone.”
Following the success of ‘Reservations’, her collaboration with Minnie of I-DLE which has surpassed 1.5 million cumulative streams, SORN deepens her exploration of modern love through the album’s focus track, “Play Along,” featuring Australian artist Keenan Te. The Pop-R&B track channels the emotional push-and-pull dynamic of a situationship, exploring both sides of the situationship and the tension that keeps two people circling around each other.

| Q: Congratulations on your first full-length album! Please introduce your new album to our readers. |
| SORN: “letters left unread” is a collection of songs written like letters I never sent. It’s very personal and reflects a situationship I went through over two years. Each track captures different emotions, from confusion to acceptance. This is actually the first time I’ve written songs about my personal romantic relationships for the public to hear, so we’ve been really excited for this album to come out for a long time. |
| Q: What was it like collaborating with Australian artist Keenan Te on the album’s focus track, “Play Along”? |
| SORN: Working with Keenan was really natural and easy. He understood the emotional push and pull of the song right away, which made the storytelling feel balanced. I really enjoyed all the Zoom sessions we had while writing the album. It felt more like FaceTiming a friend and telling them about your situation. Fun fact is “Play Along” was actually the first track we wrote for the album, so having him on it feels really special for both of us. I loved having both perspectives in the song, and it made it feel more real and dynamic! |
| Q: Did you encounter any unexpected challenges during the production of this album? |
| SORN: The biggest challenge was actually the emotional side of things. Revisiting old diary entries brought back feelings I thought I had moved on from. It was a bit overwhelming at times, but also very healing… felt like therapy haha. In the end, it helped me tell the story more honestly. I struggled a lot with whether I was saying too much in each track or not saying enough, so we had to help each other find the right balance. |
| Q: How did it feel to see everyone again at your album release party after such a long time? |
| SORN: It felt really special and a bit surreal. I hadn’t seen a lot of them in so long, so it almost felt like a reunion. Many of the friends who came are people I’ve literally grown up with, and they’ve seen me grow both personally and professionally. Sharing such a personal project in that setting made it even more meaningful. I’m really grateful they came to support me, and hearing how proud everyone is of this album was really touching. |
| Q: Among the friends who attended your album release, is there anyone you hope to collaborate with in the future? |
| SORN: Honestly, there are so many people I’d love to work with. Being surrounded by such creative friends was really inspiring. I think it’s more about finding the right timing and the right song, so hopefully something happens naturally in the future. I personally really enjoy working with my close friends. It’s the memories we create while making a song that matter the most to me, so I’d love to collaborate with all of my best friends as much as possible. |
| Q: We saw the CLC group photo at your album release party! Can fans expect any future activities together? |
| SORN: That moment meant a lot to me and to the fans as well. I realized through a tweet that the last time all seven of us were together was six years ago, which is crazy to me. I didn’t realize how fast time flies, especially since my members and I have been really consistent about meeting each other and staying in touch. Right now, there’s nothing planned but we talk about it all the time. We all know how special CLC is. If the right opportunity comes, I’d love that! |
| Q: Which drink would you recommend fans enjoy while listening to your album? |
| SORN: I’d say something comforting, like a warm latte or even a glass of wine. It really depends on the mood you’re in. The album is quite emotional, so I think a cozy or relaxing drink fits best. Something you’d have during a late-night reflection. |
| Q: What can fans look forward to from you this year? |
| SORN: I definitely want to perform this album live and connect with fans more. There will also be more music and creative projects coming. I’m focusing on being more open and consistent this year. |
