After his last [intro] dopamine tour stop here in June 2024 and his appearance at WATERBOMB SINGAPORE 2025, R&B singer JUNNY returned to Singapore as part of his (null) Asia Tour on 24 March 2026. Before the show began, DJ DAUL took over the decks, warming up the crowd with a series of crowd-pleasing mixes. JUNNY then opened the Singapore leg of his (null) tour with ‘Passion, Pain & Pleasure’, ‘SOUR’ and ‘Energy’, all from his latest “null” album.
*SCAPE Ground Theatre was no stranger to JUNNY’s fans (also known as JUNNIVERSE), as his previous solo concert was held at the same location. Greeting his Singapore JUNNIVERSE, JUNNY asked how many had attended his first show in Singapore, adding that he knew some of his fans who had even become friends through his past Singapore shows!
Moving into some of his earlier hits like ‘TASTE’, ‘Color Me’, ‘MOVIE’ and ‘RUSH’, fans sang along throughout the set. The crowd’s singalong was especially notable during ‘Thank You’ and ‘By My Side’, the latter of which he wrapped up with an awe-inspiring high note. The night felt like a reunion among long-time friends, with JUNNY engaging in playful banter and even sharing tidbits about himself. He revealed that ‘Not About You’ was inspired by his ex-girlfriend, a detail his fans might be already familiar with. Introducing ‘Sweet Release’, JUNNY described it as a sweet release of dopamine, capturing the feeling of finally reconnecting with his fans after creating new music for his latest album and embarking on a new tour.
Ahead of his birthday in April, Singapore JUNNIVERSE surprised him with an early celebration, singing ‘Happy Birthday’ not only in English, but also in Korean – which JUNNY happily joined in.
Fans called for JUNNY to splash water on them, which he obliged a handful of times. During ‘Here We Go Again’, he took it a step further by pouring water over himself mid-performance, drawing gasps and excited cheers from the audience.
No JUNNY show would be complete without all time fan-favourite ‘INVITATION’. From the opening beat, the crowd sang along and vibed in unison. Keeping the momentum going, JUNNY delivered soulful and emotional renditions of ‘Weight of Time’ and ‘figure8’, before closing the show with an encore of ‘INVITATION’, where the audience sang even louder and passionately than before.
We’re already looking forward to JUNNY’s return – fingers crossed that Singapore remains a regular stop for his future tours. Otherwise, JUNNIVERSE might have to pull out all the stops, like tempting him back with chilli crab (which a fan offered during the show!) As JUNNY himself put it, “Chilli crab? That’s very tempting!”
