GOT7’s Yugyeom has just released his second full-length album “Interlunar“, which marks what would likely be his final album before beginning military service later this year.
The album’s title, “Interlunar“, refers to the brief period when the moon is invisible despite being in the sky. Yugyeom likens himself to the moon and fans to the light. Although he may be out of sight during his hiatus, he hopes fans will remember that he is still there, just like the moon even in darkness.
Comprising ten tracks, the album leans into a smooth R&B sound. Notably, the tracklist features moon phase icons next to “Interlunar” and “Shall We Dance“, suggesting they are dual title tracks.Yugyeom also took part in writing most lyrics and collaborated with artists like Code Kunst and SEVENTEEN’s Vernon.
Following the release of his previous studio album “TRUST ME” in early 2024, Yugyeom reunited with his GOT7 bandmates for the group’s winter album “WINTER Heptagon” and performed at their “NESTFEST” reunion concerts held in Seoul and Bangkok.
