The 10th edition of Skechers Sundown Festival has returned this time round with a 3 day party, with over 50 artistes across Asia coming together for this extravaganza. As different artistes took over the 3 different stages, crowds flocked to either the Utopia, Nirvana or Eden stage to enjoy the performances while soaking up the high atmosphere.
Fans and music festival lovers gathered at Siloso Beach to catch some top notch regional acts perform live, such as Justin Oh, Henry Fong, BIG ASS and local talent Sam Rui headlining Day 1; DJ Soda, MFBTY, Higher Brothers hyping up the party crowd on Day 2; TOKiMONSTA and iKON to wrap up the event on a high note on Day 3.
MFBTY (My Fans [Are] Better Than Yours), consisting of Tiger JK, Yoon Mirae and Bizzy took over the stage late night during Day 2 with hits like Monster, Manta, Angel and GO. At one point, the trio even got the entire crowd to put up their middle fingers in the air (like a boss!)
Fans at the front were definitely rewarded as Tiger JK went down near the barricades to get up close with the crowd. What’s more, they even got to receive free merchandise as Bizzy personally went down to distribute them at the end of their set.
iKONICs had already been queueing for hours just to catch the group, who was the finale act for the night. Any sign of fatigue was instantly washed away as iKON stepped on stage, and the crowd was treated with an adrenaline-filled set with hits like RHYTHM TA, B-DAY, DUMB & DUMBER, and also their iconic Love Scenario and My Type.
As if to cool fans down from the hot stages, the iKON members took water bottles and started splashing water at the crowd halfway through the performance.
Although Skechers Sundown Festival 2019 is just over, we are already looking forward for 2020’s edition – which is hinted to be happening next April, according to the notice on the website.
