A free concert seems impossible? Well, you best believe it’s true! A few weeks ago, many skeptical Singaporeans, us included, attended a K-pop concert organized by Stargram to celebrate its launch in Singapore.
Stargram is a Korean IT company specializing in Blockchain and O2O, a new generation technology. The company set foot in Singapore and is planning to expand into the Southeast Asian region through the usage and introduction of Stargram Coin, a form of celebrity-popularity-based digital currency that can be used to purchase star-related items like concert tickets, albums, merchandise and more.
The concert was absolutely free, and how attendees got their tickets was through a simple sharing and tagging mechanism on their social media sites. And the concert did not disappoint.
The concert featured a fantastic line-up of acts, which includes JBJ, EXID, B1A1, Eugene Park, Kwak Dong Yeon and Optical Crew, and played to the crowd for 2 whole hours.
The groups and solo artistes showed just how well of a performer they are with their professionalism and talent, especially through technical glitches that were prominent during their performances.
While playing his electric violin, Eugene Park’s microphone didn’t project sound for a good 3 minutes or so, but he wasn’t fazed. Instead, he continued hyping up the crowd and handled the situation like a true pro.
EXID, too, faced some technical problems when a different song played from the one they introduced during the MENT, sending the girls and the crowd into confusion. However, their good prep for the show and professionalism led to a great show nonetheless, with loud cheers from the crowd.
JBJ, who was just recently in town for their solo showcase, came back more energetic performance for Joyfuls with a line-up of their most popular songs. B1A4, who was last in Singapore in 2014, gave BANAs a wonderful performance of their greatest songs and hits from their latest album Rollin’.
Optical Crew and Kwak Dong Yeon also successfully wowed the crowd with their stunning performances, including a flashy lights show and a powerful vocal performance.
An event that everyone believed was too good to be true ended on successfully on a high note, and the crowd was fully satisfied from start to end.
