Singer-songwriter SHAUN, who has amassed over 1.9 billion streams globally and draws 2.5 million monthly Spotify listeners, releases his new single “Night Walk” today (30th) at 6PM KST via major digital platforms. Following his May release “Pixels”, the new track marks the next chapter in SHAUN’s evolving sonic journey and serves as a prelude to his forthcoming summer EP.
As the title suggests, “Night Walk” captures the introspective emotions of walking through a city at dawn. The track blends minor-key progressions with light, pulsing rhythms to blur the line between reality and the inner self, creating a strangely immersive atmosphere. Lyrics like “Even alone on this empty street, I didn’t feel lonely” and “This feeling, now familiar, has quietly become a part of me” reflect a narrative of solitude, quiet resilience, and emotional introspection. Unlike the previous single, this track expands the emotional spectrum leading up to SHAUN’s new EP.
The song’s artwork and music video were creatively directed by Jonah George, a global creative director known for his collaborations with Nike, Lauv, and Jeremy Zucker. Filmed in the streets of the night of Tokyo, the video follows a man dressed in a robe as he wanders and runs through the city. Almost like a cinematic visual poem, the video relies solely on real urban light sources—vending machines, neon signs, and street lamps. The use of close-up handheld shots and slow-motion sequences intensifies its emotional depth.”
With this release, SHAUN once again proves himself a “trusted and timeless artist.” Taking full creative control—from songwriting and lyrics to production—he continues to tell his story with honesty and vision.
The upcoming EP is expected to be a culmination of SHAUN’s emotional and artistic evolution, offering a deeper look into his musical identity. “Night Walk” is not only a key track in that journey, but also a raw and sincere emotional record.
