“Heartriders”, are you ready for Seo Inguk to serenade you this October? The charismatic singer and actor will be taking the stage at the UCC Ho Bee Theatre for the Singapore stop of his highly anticipated “Heart Cookie” Asia Fan Meeting Tour on October 12, 2025!
What’s on Seo Inguk’s Singapore bucket list? Do fan reactions influence how he views his work? We asked him all that, along with a few more fun questions, before he lands for his big night.
| Q: You’ve gained a loyal fanbase in Singapore. Is there something about Singapore or its culture that you’ve always been curious about or would love to experience firsthand? |
| Seo Inguk: Whenever I’ve done fan sign events or video calls, there have always been quite a lot of fans from Singapore. And actually, this will be my very first time meeting Singapore fans in person! Since it’s my first fan meeting in Singapore, I’m really looking forward to finally seeing everyone face-to-face. I’d also love to try some traditional Singaporean food while I’m there. |
| Q: Between Nam Han-Jun (Café Minamdang) and Myul-Mang (Doom at Your Service), if you could live as one of them for a day, who would you choose and what would you do? |
| Seo Inguk: I’d choose to live as Myul-Mang. I want to experience all of his supernatural powers. After all, I’d only have one day! |
| Q: The music video you starred in, “No Sad Song For My Broken Heart (내게 어울릴 이별 노래가 없어)”, has stirred a lot of discussion! Would you be able to explain the ending to us? |
| Seo Inguk: Actually, I haven’t heard a direct explanation of the ending either. When we were filming, I was simply told, “Just do it this way,” so I focused entirely on the emotions at the time. In terms of the story or final outcome, to be honest, I never really got a full explanation myself. |
| Q: Do fan reactions ever affect how you see your own work? Has anything a fan said ever stayed with you long after? |
| Seo Inguk: Of course there are many comments and reactions, but for me, what matters most is how I approach the work myself. I tend not to let outside opinions influence me too much. That’s a point of pride for me—it’s part of my professionalism. If I were to let reactions or preferences dictate my work, I feel like I wouldn’t be able to act properly. That said, the most rewarding moments are when fans or the public pick up on something subtle that I deliberately tried to express—especially when it was something difficult to convey. That’s when I feel truly happy. |
| Q: Are there any artists, whether Korean or international, that you hope to collaborate with in the future? |
| Seo Inguk: There are so many! It’s honestly hard to choose just one. There are so many incredible global film directors and top actors who are making a name for themselves around the world. If I ever get the chance to work with them in any capacity, it would be an absolute honor. |
