The Embassy of the Republic of Korea, together with the Singapore Film Society, is proud to present the Korean Film Festival in Singapore 2026 (KFF), returning from 8-18 October with 14 public screenings at Golden Village Suntec City and *SCAPE. This year’s marks the 20th edition of the festival. Through cinema, KFF invites audiences to celebrate this milestone and explore the cultural richness, diversity, and creativity of Korean storytelling.
The festival’s key art, titled Stories Unseen (보이지 않았던 이야기들), represents the theme from this year’s programme, as we turn our attention to the stories of people who have existed beyond familiar narratives. Through films about the elderly, North Korean defectors, LGBTQ+ communities, and multicultural families, the programme highlights the diverse lives woven into modern Korean society.
Festival Programmer, Deepagcharan Chandran notes: “Cinema is the art of making the unseen visible. This year’s program invites audiences to look beyond familiar images and narratives of Korea, and to encounter the people and everyday lives that have long existed just outside our field of view — not as separate or unfamiliar, but as an integral part of the society we live in.”
