K-Pop fans will be familiar with the next raving drama in Korea, such as when Descendants of the Sun swept across the world, or the more recent Hotel Del Luna (shown on Viu) was a hit. However, Chinese drama used to be a hit in Korea and Korean ahjummas actually binge-watch on those. Remember the times when My Fair Princess (還珠格格) was quite a phenomena in the drama scene.
In fact in 2017, Chinese fantasy romance drama Eternal Love (三生三世十里桃花) intrigued everyone (including Koreans) with its plot; and sprung China’s most in-demand actresses Dilraba Dilimulati (迪丽热巴) and A-list actress Yang Mi (杨幂) into the spotlight.
In fact, this Chinese drama not only made it’s rounds to the drama fans, even K-Pop idol Kim Jae Joong made a post on his instagram about it.

Eternal Love of Dream explores the love story between Bai Feng Jiu (Dilraba Dilimulati), the only known nine-tailed red fox in the world, and Dong Hua (Vengo Gao), the first Heavenly Emperor of the Heavenly Clan. Chinese A-list actress Yang Mi (杨幂) will also be reprising her role as Bai Qian, the former female monarch of the Qing Qiu kingdom.
