Christmas is just around the corner, but have you checked out these amazing installations in Korea yet? There is much more than these locations, but it will take forever for us to compile – so we’ve rounded up to 5 of the hottest spots in Korea to visit in 2019.
1. Yeongdeungpo Times Square
Times Square, one of the biggest shopping malls in Seoul, boasts a dazzling Christmas installation outside the mall.
2. Cheonggyecheon Stream
I managed to catch the Christmas lights and decorations over at Cheonggyecheon Stream in 2018, and this year’s decorations look similarly, if not, even more amazing than last year. The light installations span across a wide stretch of the stream, and you can check them out from above, or up-close by the walkway along the stream.
3. K-Pop Square @ COEX Mall
This Christmas installation is actually a pop-up by Chanel, but the snow globe is too pretty to not be included in this list. This installation will actually be around till 19 January 2020, so there’s still time to visit it! However, do take note that this installation is inside the ice skating rink, which requires an admission ticket (3000 won) to enter.
4. Everland
There are numerous photo spots in Everland to capture that perfect festive shot – just that you’ll probably feel miserable and #foreveralone looking at all the couples taking sweet photos there :'(
5. Nampo-dong, Busan
Check out the giant 18-meter tall Christmas tree in Nampo-dong, as part of the Busan Christmas Tree Festival. The festival runs till 5 January 2020, and performances will be held every night in December, in front of the Christmas tree.
