Did you know that in Taiwan, you are able to find a lot of anime related cafes / places to visit? There is a Totoro bus station right here in Tainan!
Totoro, also known as the chinchilla that captured many hearts of the young and old with its cute and fluffy anime character who was in the popular anime, “My Neighbour Totoro” by Hayao Miyazaki.
The Totoro bus station is located at a (quite secluded) corner around Anping Street.
Anping District is a district of Tainan City. It was named one of the ‘Top 10 Small Tourist Towns’ by the Tourism Bureau of Taiwan. Other than the Totoro bus station, there are a few places that are also worth a visit, such as the Anping Tree House.
Totoro Bus Station not only has everything decorated with Totoro plushies and pictures, it is also a mini café where you can buy their famous handmade Acorn-shaped biscuit! They also sell ice cream and hot/cold drinks such as chocolate, mocha, cappuccino, latte and caramel latte.
If you want to bring something back as souvenir, fret not! Post cards are available and it comes with different designs! You will definitely have a hard time choosing the one you like because all of them are so cute and pretty! Stamps are available at the back, for free! So you can stamp as much as you want (but of course not too much!)
There is a plus-size Totoro right beside their mini-van, where you can take photos with!
