“The Magical ManSuang” Asia Tour Marks its Final Stop in Singapore

1 December 2023, Singapore – The Theatre @ Mediacorp

Following the quartet’s month long tour from Jakarta, Taipei to Hong Kong, Thai actors Mile (Phakphum Romsaithong), Apo (Nattawin Wattanagatiphat), Bas (Asavapatr Ponpiboon) and Tong (Thanayut Thakoonauttaya) are finally here in Singapore to greet their fans for their first period film Man Suang (2023).

The show kicked off with a trailer of the movie, before the casts, dressed in their characters, made their way on stage re-enacting scenes in the movie. Tong (as Hong) came out all glamoured in his traditional outfit, following a traditional dance performance by Apo (as Khem) and Bas (as Wan).

The crowd was moved to tears by Bas as he sang a live performance of “No More Dreams”, a new release by fellow company mate Barcode (Tinnasit Isarapongporn).

The audience was surprised as Mile (as Chatra) and Apo, re-enacting a market scene in the movie, appeared among the crowds, offering sweet fruit sticks to some lucky fans while showing off their English prowess.

After the performances, the casts sat down for a chat, introducing their characters in the movie while sharing their experiences in filming the movie. Although the movie was only aired in Thailand this year, the casts shared a little spoiler – the movie is slated to air in other countries starting February next year!

On the next segment, the casts personally picked 4 lucky fans on stage to pair up for a creative dance competition against one another. Fans had a good laugh as they showed off their dance skills – Bas got the other casts to join him in his dance at one point!

The casts left the stage to take a short break, but returned soon after with another fan interaction segment. As selected fans were invited on stage to design kites (which holds a significant meaning in one scene in the movie), the casts took the chance to show off their artistic talent as they worked together with the fans to specially craft and sign the kites. The casts also personally handed the kites to the fans to bring back as a memorable gift.

To express their gratitude to the casts, the fans prepared a special video, as well as a special banner welcoming them back to Singapore. Tong cheekily turned over the banner teasing the fans as he read the instructions “please raise this banner once the fan video project ends” given. Nevertheless, the casts were touched by the special surprise and gave their special thanks to the fans for making the day a special one for them.

As the fan-meet came close to an end, fellow company mate Bible (Wichapas Sumettikul), who was in Singapore for another event earlier, made his special appearance and greeted the fans.

“Thank you for your love and support for them and you showed me by extension, and fingers crossed that we can come back again and again to Singapore because Singapore, we love you!”

The fan-meet ended after 2.5 hours with a Hi-5 session on stage with the casts.
