Slot Machine Invites You To <EXIT TO ENTER> Their World In Singapore Tour

SLOT MACHINE

Slot Machine stands tall as one of Thailand’s premier rock bands, seamlessly merging modern rock with a distinctive Thai identity. Renowned for their captivating live performances, Slot Machine’s unique sound and Sci-Fi image have enthralled fans in Thailand, setting the stage for their international ascent.

Best known for their electrifying performances, iconic sound and dynamic energy, Slot Machine came to Singapore with an Alien and Sci-Fi space themed 2-hour concert at the Gateway Theatre last Saturday, 20 April 2024.

As Slot Machine performed their “EXIT TO ENTER WORLD TOUR 2024” in Singapore, the immersive concert showcasing nearly 30 of their iconic songs proved why they continue to stand strong as one of the best rock bands in Thailand.

ENTER

The show kicked off with a grand and powerful introduction with the strong visual effects of red blinking lights and ‘alien’ siren sounds, holding true to the ‘Alien and Sci-Fi’ theme of the concert. The members, appearing all clad in black, further intensified their strong presence alongside the stage visuals.

Main vocal Foet (Karinyawat Durongjirakan) impressed the audience with his strong vocals and steadiness as he sang non-stop for the two-hour long concert. His singing was also well supplemented with the other band members and instruments, demonstrating the rapport of the band of 24 years. Bass guitarist Gak (Atirath Pintong) and guitarist Vit (Janevit Chanpanyawong) also had their chance to shine as they held the limelight (literally when the lights shined only on them) many times during the show. The moment that left the strongest impression was when Gak and Vit had a little show-off with their instruments, as the audience watched intensely to their performance.

Slot Machine proved their rock identity not only with their stage presence, but also the significant visual effects from the start to the end of the concert. Whether it was the red blinking lights during “4th Kind Interlude” and “Free Fall” or flashing lights during “เคลิ้ม (Khloem)” and “AI”, the simple yet impressive lightings which complemented the music and performance, further pushed the concert to another level.

Although it seemed like the fans took a while to warm up, the charm of the band and their rock vibes never failed to hype up the atmosphere. The audience eventually began to sing and rock along to the songs, such as the latest single “AI”, featuring Violette Wautier, till the end of the show.

EXIT

The differing personalities of the members of Slot Machine was well demonstrated during the concert – Gak being hyperactive and making his presence at every part of the stage, Vit being composed and moving lightly whenever playing the guitar and Foet remaining stable and poised throughout the performances. At one point of the encore, Gak even left the stage to interact with the audience, even sitting in between the seats while rocking his guitar skills.

As the band as well as the other instrumentalists took turns to introduce themselves, the show eventually ended with one of the fan-favourite, “จันทร์เจ้า Goodbye”.
