| Q: To begin, could you introduce the show and share what audiences can look forward to in Season 3? |
| Lee Je-hoon: This season features a much larger scale, and I believe viewers will really feel the synergy between the cast and crew who have worked together since Season 1. The story is also closely connected to previous seasons, so audiences may encounter familiar and welcome moments along the way. By now, our teamwork has reached a point where we can understand each other just by making eye contact, and I hope that chemistry truly shines through the screen. The action sequences, in particular, are far more intense and impactful. Working again with the stunt team who’s been with us since Season 1 felt incredibly impressive. I can confidently say that without the BORNSTUNT team, there would be no Kim Do-gi. |
| Q: Your Japanese and English delivery in the new season was impressive. Did you take additional lessons to prepare, or what was your process for mastering those lines? |
| Lee Je-hoon: Acting in foreign languages felt like a huge challenge and responsibility for me, so I practiced extensively and gave it a lot of thought. I worked with both Japanese and English teachers, received multiple lessons, and they even carefully checked my lines on set. Thanks to them, I think we were able to create the character properly. Honestly, I don’t think I could have done it on my own without them. I simply followed their guidance and learned diligently. I’d really like to express my sincere gratitude to them. |
| Q: If you had the chance to redesign the Rainbow Deluxe Taxi, what special features would you want to add and why? |
| Lee Je-hoon: If I could add a feature, I’d love the taxi to have the ability to transform like a chameleon. With just the press of a button, it could instantly change into a different vehicle. That would be incredibly useful during undercover missions or when being chased. It could confuse enemies and make operations smoother for Rainbow Deluxe Taxi. Even changing colors alone could be fun. Of course, it wouldn’t be easy to make that happen. |
| Q: It has been quite some time since you last visited Singapore! Since Do-gi adopts so many different personas during his missions, which of his characters would you wish you could bring along on your next holiday here? |
| Lee Je-hoon: I’d bring “Manager Do-gi,” who appears in Episodes 9 and 10. He’s been through a lot, so I’d like him to rest and he also feels dependable, like someone who would take good care of me during the trip. |
| Q: This season features you in several action scenes. Did you undergo additional training, or how did you prepare for those moments? |
| Pyo Ye-jin: Since Go-eun has a background in the police force, I wanted her action scenes to look natural and convincing. Under the guidance of the stunt director, I worked to make her movements feel as familiar and realistic as possible. Thanks to the stunt team, we were able to film safely. It was a fascinating and enjoyable experience. |
| Q: Across all three seasons of the series, which case is your personal favourite and what makes it stand out for you? |
| Pyo Ye-jin: The real estate fraud case in Season 2, where children were exploited for criminal purposes, left the deepest impression on me. Seeing children who should be protected being hurt was extremely painful, to the point where it was difficult even to watch the broadcast. |
| Q: Within the Rainbow Deluxe Taxi team, which member do you feel your character shares the best chemistry with? |
| Pyo Ye-jin: With Kim Do-gi, there’s an unspoken understanding. We communicate just through our eyes. I also feel that my chemistry with the senior mechanics has grown significantly. Even though I’m the youngest on set, Choi Kyung-koo and Park Jin-eon (sunbae-nims) generously respond to Go-eun’s nagging and playful remarks, which allowed me to fully enjoy teasing them during filming. (Laughs) |
| Q: We heard that, unlike your character, you have admitted you are not exactly a computer expert in real life. If your character could gain another strength to complement her skills, what new ability would you love to give her? |
| Pyo Ye-jin: She’s already skilled at hacking, driving, and playing various disguises, so I’d love for her to gain even stronger physical combat abilities enough to occasionally fight alongside Kim Do-gi in the field. Kim Do-gi’s “hard carry” moments are impressive, but seeing him take on so much alone always makes me want to help. (Laughs) |
