Empress Solar Welcomes Fans To Solar 3rd CONCERT [Solaris] in Singapore

Solar returned to Singapore recently for her third solo tour with Solar 3rd CONCERT [Solaris] in Singapore, marking her first local appearance in some time. The concert opened with a space themed VCR, setting the tone for the night before she appeared on stage.

Rather than starting with a high energy track, Solar chose to open with “Ave Maria” from Notre Dame de Paris. She explained that concerts usually begin with more exciting songs, but she wanted to start this show in a way that felt new and fresh, choosing a song that was graceful and solemn. Early in the show, she introduced the concept of the concert by calling herself Solar, the empress who rules this planet, sharing that the audience had arrived at an uncharted planet and welcoming everyone to board the spaceship Solaris.

The mood quickly shifted as she moved to performances of “Spit It Out” and MAMAMOO’sEgotistic“, drawing loud reactions from the crowd. She also laid out her only rule for the night, asking everyone to be passionate and to enjoy themselves as much as possible.

Following “HONEY” and “Big Booty“, Solar spoke about returning to Singapore after a long time. She noted that she clearly remembered the energy of Singapore fans and felt it again that evening. She also shared that she had visited the SingaPop! 60 Years of Singapore Pop Culture exhibition the day before. Through the visit, she learned more about Singapore’s music scene from the 1960s and 1970s to the present, as well as local culture. After gaining a deeper understanding of Singapore, she felt that the concert had become even more meaningful.

Throughout the night, Solar repeatedly pointed out how passionate the YONGSOONs, her fans, were and how much they seemed to be enjoying the performance. She expressed that this enthusiasm moved her and made the experience memorable. She later performed “Star Wind Flower Sun“, a song by MAMAMOO, and talked about how it was written around 2018 while thinking about their fans. She described how each member was represented as one of the four elements reflected in the song’s title.

As the concert came to a close, Solar thanked Singapore fans for making the show possible and unforgettable. She conveyed that she received courage, hope, and strong energy from the audience, and wished that everyone would remain happy and healthy until she returns again. She ended the night with a lighthearted farewell, jokingly telling fans that she was heading off with a cheerful “pang kang”.
