Few things capture the anticipation for a concert better than a stadium glowing with thousands of lightsticks! After a three-year wait, the Singapore Indoor Stadium lit up in bright green as thousands of MOOMOOs raised their Moobongs, MAMAMOO’s official lightsticks, to welcome the quartet back. The group returned to a much larger venue this time, greeted by fans who had eagerly awaited their reunion at the MAMAMOO 2026 WORLD TOUR <4WARD> in SINGAPORE on 31 July 2026.
The opening VCR offered a brief retrospective of MAMAMOO’s journey over the years. As the members walked through a hallway lined with their album covers from different eras, fans were given a glimpse of the many chapters that shaped the group before the concert moved into the present, their return to Singapore for the “4WARD”world tour.
MAMAMOO did not begin the concert in the usual way by appearing on stage. Instead, Moon Byul made her entrance from the mosh pit among the fans, immediately bringing the members closer to the audience. The group opened with “Mr-Ambiguous”, accompanied by trumpet visuals on the screens behind them, before moving into the emotional “Destiny” on the elevated stage. They followed with “Egotistic”, which drew loud cheers from the audience. Throughout the opening stages, the members wore white outfits decorated with shimmering silver details.
The members then warmly introduced themselves and welcomed Singapore MOOMOOs to the “4WARD” world tour. Solar, who led the introductions, mentioned that it had been a long time since they last met and asked fans if they had been waiting for their return. She expressed her hope that everyone would enjoy the concert and leave with no regrets. Taking a moment to look around the venue, Solar shared that she was surprised to see every seat filled, even pointing out fans seated on the third floor. She also explained that the title “4WARD” represents MAMAMOO and MOOMOOs continuing to move forward together.
A few performances throughout the night particularly stood out to us. “Starry Night” was accompanied by loud and perfectly coordinated fan chants, especially during the opening where fans passionately shouted each member’s name. Meanwhile, “Taller Than You” returned in a hilarious trot version. The already playful lyrics became even funnier with exaggerated trot-style vocals, and the members fully committed to the performance, making it a moment that had the entire venue laughing along.
The concert VCRs were thoughtfully prepared with plenty of details for fans to enjoy, making sure to entertain fans between performances. The first VCR introduced the members as “Little Fairy Friends” attending a trot school, where they took on amusing missions such as learning proper fan service and practicing the iconic “ending fairy” pose often seen in Korean music show performances.
Returning in matching denim outfits, MAMAMOO performed a medley of songs, with the members adding their own playful touches through cute accessories. Solar, for example, wore a pink ribbon headband, while Hwa Sa appeared with a crab headband and a white rabbit bag. The medley concluded with “New York”, “Freakin Shoes”, and finally “Baton Touch”.
Solar jokingly hinted that there was a reason they chose “Baton Touch” as the final song of the medley before putting a finger to her lips and saying, “Please, shh.” Her earnest yet abrupt attempt to explain herself in English immediately made Whee In and Moon Byul burst into laughter. Moon Byul then remarked that it was a very polite but firm “shh” from Solar.
“Baton Touch” served as a clever transition into the solo stages that followed. Staying true to the song’s title, each member passed a white-and-green microphone, matching the colours of the Moobong, to the next performer as if passing a relay baton. Hwa Sa opened the solo segment with her hit song “So Cute”, receiving some of the loudest cheers of the night as fans sang along to every lyric. She made full use of the audience aisles, walking through the crowd, dancing on a chair, leaning against the barricades, and constantly interacting with fans who eagerly reached out to her.
Whee In followed with “The Symphony of Fxxkboys”, while Moon Byul took the stage with “Hertz”. Both performances saw fans singing along, shouting, and jumping throughout, especially when the two members moved through the audience. Solar then rounded out the solo stages with “Blues”, once again highlighting her powerful vocals.
Another VCR brought more laughter to the night with a parody of a dating show, featuring the members delivering playful flirtatious lines and taking part in hilarious game segments that had the audience laughing throughout.
The final stretch of the concert featured fan favourites including “HIP”, “Dingga”, which turned into a dance party, a rock version of “gogobebe”, and “Um Oh Ah Yeh”. During the encore break, Singapore MOOMOOs sang along to “L.I.E.C” and “Girl Crush” as they waited for the members to return.
When the members returned for the encore, Solar shared that Singapore MOOMOOs’ passion and energy throughout the night had been incredible. Fans then surprised MAMAMOO with a heartfelt fan-made VCR before the photo segment, featuring memories from the group’s previous concerts in Singapore. They also presented the members with a cake bearing the message, “Our dear four flowers who came back, please bloom in Singapore”, alongside the fan slogan, “Even though flowers bloom and wither, we’ll meet again.”
The members were visibly touched by the surprise. Solar repeatedly thanked fans, sharing that MAMAMOO had also received great energy from Singapore and that the concert became even more meaningful because of the enthusiasm shown by MOOMOOs. When she asked if everyone would wait for them to return again, the stadium erupted in cheers. Her repeated “thank you”s gradually became a running joke throughout the night, drawing affectionate laughter from fans each time she said it in English.
While MAMAMOO once again showed why they are regarded as one of K-Pop’s strongest live acts, delivering hit after hit with powerful vocals and confident performances, what stood out to us the most was how naturally they connected with each other and with their fans.
Their chemistry was visible in many small moments throughout the night. Whee In warmly hugged Moon Byul while taking over the microphone during the solo relay, while Moon Byul spun Solar around in an affectionate hug as she passed the mic to her. The members also constantly teased one another through playful expressions and reactions. One particularly amusing moment we saw was Whee In pretending to pout at Solar, which had both the members and the audience laughing. Even after the concert ended, the behind-the-scenes footage shown during the credits, featuring the recording session for the “Little Fairy Friends” VCR, was another reminder of how comfortable the members are with one another.
That same warmth extended to their interactions with MOOMOOs. MAMAMOO made the effort to reach fans across the venue, performing not only on the main stage but also making multiple trips through the first-floor audience and appearing closer to fans seated on the second level through a surprise elevated stage. Moon Byul shared laughs with fans in the front rows after they were covered by repeated bursts of confetti, while moments like these happened throughout the concert. Hwa Sa, in particular, was constantly on the move, making eye contact with fans, stepping off the stage and up close to fans whenever possible. If there was a fan service queen that night, it was undoubtedly Hwa Sa.
More than just a night of MAMAMOO’s biggest hits and impressive vocals, “4WARD” was a reflection of the connection they have built with MOOMOOs over the years. From the playful exchanges between the members to the close interactions they shared with fans, the concert showed why MAMAMOO’s group performances continue to feel so personal and memorable, just like a reunion between old friends.
