From streaming screens to the vibrant streets of Seoul, welcome to #PrimeVideoSeoulMates! This autumn, we had the opportunity to join Prime Video on an unforgettable journey through South Korea, perfectly timed with the stunning fall season. Amid golden foliage and lively streets of Seoul, we explored the real-life locations that inspired some of Prime Video’s most beloved K-Dramas! Read on as we revisit those cinematic moments and uncover the stories behind each stop on this memorable adventure.
1. Cheonggu Building (BTS old office building) – BTS: Yet To Come
Our tour began with a name synonymous with K-pop around the world, BTS! The seven-member group has long been at the forefront of the global music scene, and our first stop took us back to where their journey began at their old office building, a modest space that once buzzed with dreams and determination. Standing there offered a rare glimpse into their early days, long before sold-out arenas and international fame.
For those who want to relive that journey, “BTS: Yet to Come” is available on Prime Video HERE. The concert film in Busan features some of the group’s biggest hits, including “Dynamite”, “Butter” and “IDOL”, along with the first-ever live performance of “Run BTS” from their latest album, “Proof”.
2. Garden of Morning Calm – Head Over Heels
Our next stop was the Garden of Morning Calm, a place that truly lives up to its name with serene pathways, fall colors in full bloom, and a sense of calm that invites you to slow down and take it all in. The weather was perfect, just what we Singaporeans would call “air-con weather”, making it ideal for exploring the garden’s scenic trails and enjoying the crisp autumn air.
During the tour, we took part in stacking stone pagodas, where each stone is placed with a quiet wish for the future. As the new year draws near, it felt especially meaningful to share our hopes together. We are definitely hoping for even more awesome K-Dramas on Prime Video next year!
The garden also served as a backdrop for the K-drama “Head Over Heels”, featuring Seong-A (Cho Yi-hyun) and Gyeon-U (Choo Young-woo). In the show, Seong-A is a student by day and a shaman by night who vows to protect Gyeon-U, a man plagued by misfortune. The series is a story of first love and resilience, and visiting the garden offered a sense of how the location’s tranquil beauty complements the heartfelt themes of the drama.

3. Namsangol Hanok Village – Butterfly
Our next stop was Namsangol Hanok Village, where traditional hanok houses sit gracefully among lush gardens, offering a peaceful retreat within bustling Seoul. Along with exploring the cultural charm of the village, we watched a hanbok fashion show featuring graceful senior models showcasing the beauty of Korea’s heritage.
The village also served as a filming location for “Butterfly”, starring Daniel Dae Kim as David Jung, a former US intelligence operative whose past catches up with him. The thriller follows his struggle to reconnect with his daughter Rebecca, a deadly young assassin, while navigating the dangerous world he thought he had left behind. Visiting Namsangol Hanok Village, surrounded by history and tradition, offered a calm, reflective counterpoint to the suspense and intensity of the series.

4. River Yacht experience – No Gain No Love
Our final stop was a scenic yacht ride along the Han River, where the golden sunset reflected beautifully on the water, just like the romantic moments Bok Gyu-Hyun (Lee Sang-Yi) and Nam Ja Yeon (Han Ji-Hyun) in “No Gain No Love”.
The series follows Son Hae-Yeong (Shin Min-A), a woman who carefully navigates life to avoid losses, and Kim Ji-Uk (Kim Young-Dae), a kind-hearted man who cannot turn away from those in need. Their unconventional “fake wedding” brings unexpected romance and laughter, capturing the charm of modern love in Seoul.

The series became so popular it inspired the two-episode spin-off “Spice Up Our Love”. In “No Gain No Love”, Nam Ja-Yeon encounters Bok Gyu-Hyun when she presses charges against him for writing malicious comments on her web novel. However, in “Spice Up Our Love”, Nam Ja-Yeon ends up turning herself as her web novel’s main character, Seo Yeon-Seo, while Bok Gyu-Hyun transforms into her male lead character, Kang Ha-Jun. The story comically unfolds as Yeon-Seo, who is trying to escape from her own web novel and return to reality, and Ha-Jun, who is single-mindedly devoted to her, continues to pursue her.
