What if your life suddenly turned into a novel you already knew the ending to? Would you change it, or simply follow the story?

OMNISCIENT READER: THE PROPHECY begins with Kim Dokja, a regular office worker and the only reader of an obscure web novel. One day, he suddenly finds himself inside the world of that very story. Armed with knowledge no one else has, he must team up with the novel’s original protagonist, Yu Junghyeok, to survive deadly scenarios and change the ending he once despised.

Joined by characters played by Shin Seungho, Chae Soobin, NANA, and Kwon Eunseong, Dokja is thrown into a brutal survival game where failure means elimination. Much like the Squid Game series, the film explores how fear and desperation bring out both the worst and best in people.

Ahn Hyoseop makes a strong cinematic debut, portraying Dokja’s emotional journey with quiet intensity. Lee Minho brings weight to the enigmatic Yu Junghyeok, though his screen time feels limited. Interestingly, Shin Seungho, NANA and even little Kwon Eunseong leave a stronger impression with their characters, delivering performances that were convincing and memorable portrayals. Kwon Eunseong in particular, had moments that almost made us shout with excitement and cheer out loud before we reminded ourselves we were in a movie theatre.

As the characters push through each scenario, the stakes rise. Every victory brings only a harder trial, adding to the film’s growing sense of hopelessness. There are always more levels to survive. Visually, the film leans on CGI but uses it well. The effects enhance the scale of the dystopian world without overwhelming the viewer.

OMNISCIENT READER: THE PROPHECY blends action, emotion, and the strength of unexpected friendships, it is a story about survival, connection, and rewriting fate.
