LISA (Lalisa Manobal), one-fourth of the globally renowned K-pop girl group, BLACKPINK, was in Singapore for the first stop of the LISA Fan Meetup in Asia 2024. Many BLINKS (BLACKPINK’s official fandom) and Lilies (LISA’s official fandom) showed up to support the “Rockstar” singer at the Singapore Indoor Stadium on 11 November 2024 despite it being a Monday evening.
Not only did LISA perform five of her solo songs during the Fan Meetup, she also announced that she is working on her new full album. LISA also chatted with fans about her first acting project, hit HBO Original series “The White Lotus” that would be premiering next year. Expressing her excitement about it, LISA divulged that she attended acting classes in preparation for her debut role.
The Fan Meetup also included a long talk section in between her performances. She had the opportunity to try our local Kaya Toast and Hainanese Chicken Rice onstage, remarking cutely that she was not aware that it was recommended to have the half-boiled eggs together with the Kaya Toast.
During the section where she talked about her never-before-seen photos, there was one particular explanation for a photo that drew laughter from the fans at the venue. LISA apologetically explained that when she was at Taylor Swift’s The Eras Tour in Singapore concert earlier this year, she did not know that she was supposed to exchange the bracelets and was just collecting them from everyone who was passing them to her.
The next section was one where LISA fulfilled certain actions like doing her iconic “Eehee”, giving a set of three hearts for Lilies, performing the “Crab Dance” and “Star dance” which drew many cheers from fans.
Five lucky Red Carpet finalists who dressed up to the dress code theme “STAR” also had their chance to strut their stuff onstage and interact with LISA. They definitely left a deep impression on LISA; with one of the finalists sharing that he was inspired to start learning the Thai language because of her. The final winner even had LISA falling to her knees in laughter as they came dressed as a literal star.
Ending the Fan Meetup with the rest of her performances, LISA also made sure to walk around the different sides of the stage to get closer to her fans. From chart-topping “LALISA” and “MONEY”, her powerful and sexy dances during “Rockstar” and “New Woman”, to her sweet vocals during “Moonlit Floor”, LISA had fans on their feet and having a great time with her.
