On October 18th, the long-awaited 2025 KEYLAND: Uncanny Valley in SINGAPORE finally became a reality! Singapore’s Lil Freaks and SHINee World were treated to a night full of flair, emotion, and unforgettable performances as SHINee’s Key brought his first solo concert to Capitol Theatre.
The show opened with “Strange“, a track pulsing with eccentric energy and eerie undertones. Dressed in dramatic silver and black, Key made a striking entrance wearing gloves with elongated fingertips and performing with a silver-adorned standing mic. The stage, visuals, and styling combined to create an opening that was both intriguing and visually striking. He followed with “Helium“, “CoolAs“, and “Want Another” before stepping off for a quick wardrobe change.
He returned with “Killer”, a performance where the fan chants stood out prominently. The energy in the theatre was undeniable, and even before formally greeting the crowd, Key exclaimed, “Wow, you guys are so crazy tonight!” in response to the thunderous cheers. Welcoming fans to KEYLAND: Uncanny Valley, he shared that while SHINee has visited Singapore many times, this marked his first solo concert in the country which was an occasion he was clearly thrilled about.
Key then introduced “HUNTER”, the title track from his latest album, affectionately referring to it as his new baby. He highlighted that for around 80% of the audience, this was probably their first time seeing the “HUNTER” stage live. He explained that the entire concept of the new KEYLAND tour, including the visuals and costumes, was inspired by this song. Before moving on, he made the audience laugh by reminding them to watch the “Hunter” music video once they got home.
Taking a moment to check in with fans in the standing pit, Key shared that he had recently attended a Tyler, the Creator concert and found standing for several hours exhausting. He applauded the fans’ stamina and reminded them to take care of themselves, jokingly admiring how they managed to stay energetic all night.
The show continued with crowd favorites like “Good & Great” and “Pleasure Shop” before Key took a short break. He re-emerged in a vivid blue jersey and used a neon mic for “Picture Frame“. Key revealed that each country on his tour would receive a different jersey colour and encouraged fans to look forward to the designs in upcoming shows.
When “Gasoline” began, the audience erupted, chanting the lyrics “Ramble, my type, my joy” and “Ramble, my type, my ego” with incredible energy. The response was so overwhelming that Key joked it felt as if the fans were performing the song for him. He shared how happy it made him to hear their voices so loud and full of passion, though he also expressed concern that they might strain their voices. Laughing, he apologized for making the song so intense.
The setlist featured a strong mix of Key’s Korean and English songs, with “Novacaine” standing out as a particularly moving and memorable performance. The raw emotion in his delivery was stunning and heartbreakingly honest, as though he had personally experienced the pain described in the lyrics.
Key expressed his hope to make this tour a yearly tradition so he could return to Singapore more often. He spoke about wanting to hold a fansign event in the future, like the one he recently had in Taiwan, and promised that this would not be the last time fans would see him. He assured the audience he would be back again and hopefully with SHINee as well.
After “Trap” ended, the lights dimmed, and fans united for a special fan event, singing “G.O.A.T” together while waiting for the encore.
For the encore, Key closed the night with two final songs, “Imagine” and “Lavender Love“. During “Imagine“, fans held up slogan banners as part of another fan-organised event. Key mentioned that he had received accessories, snacks for his staff, and even a cute fox bag from a Singaporean fan, which he wore during the encore. He also pointed out that he changes his hat at every show, and for Singapore, he chose a brown trapper-style hat with ear flaps that added a playful charm to his look.
As the night drew to a close, Key thanked fans for their support and said he hoped to return to Singapore soon, perhaps even early next year. “Don’t forget SHINee too, okay?” he added with a smile, sending the audience into one last wave of cheers. Throughout the show, fans waved their SHINee lightsticks, illuminating the theatre in a sea of aqua green. The fan energy never wavered as everyone sang along, chanted, and savoured every moment of Key’s first solo concert in Singapore.
