Bringing their alluring charm and beauty, the gorgeous IVE stepped foot to the Singapore shores on 30 June 2023 at the Star Theatre Performing Arts Centre, for their sold-out concert as part of their world tour titled The Prom Queens. The group is composed of Yujin, Gaeul, Wonyoung, Liz, Rei and LeeSeo with their debut single Eleven on December 2021. They rose to popularity on various social platforms with not just their addictive repertoire but also their attractive personalities that had captured many hearts as well.
DIVEs were extremely hyped for the girls’ first performance of After Like, shown by their powerful cheering, and continued even more after they gave their individual introductions. Yujin mentioned that she is shocked by the energy from Singapore DIVEs when they performed and felt thankful at all the reactions. After dancing to My Satisfaction, the MC seated them down for a short interactive game with DIVEs where we got to know Wonyoung’s interest for durians and their MINIVE characters which are themselves portrayed as animals.
Other than performing another of their recent crowd-favorite release, Kitsch, they also showcased their duo sets of Wonyoung and Rei with their cover of Me Too by Meghan Trainor, a strong ballad from Liz and Yujin of Jessie J’s Flashlight and lastly, a rendition of Blackpink’s Let’s Kill this Love from Gaeul and Leeseo.
Concluding their stages with eargasm hits like Love Dive, Eleven and I AM, the band wrapped it up as they promised to learn English more to communicate with all their DIVEs not just in Singapore, but around the world and to have nore tours in the future.
