Talented, humorous, and endearingly excited to be in Singapore, NCT’s Doyoung made sure his debut solo show in the country was unforgettable. 2025 DOYOUNG CONCERT [ DOORS ] in SINGAPORE was held on 16 July 2025 at The Star Theatre, a packed venue filled with eager fans.
From the playful use of Singlish like “I’m so happy sia” and “Czennie makan already?” to a surprise cover of the viral hit “the cutest pair” by local singer Regina Song, Doyoung embraced the Singaporean culture with charm. Fans cheered as he naturally worked local phrases into his interactions, even jokingly asking, “Is there an outdoor stadium in Singapore? Is it too big?” He said he would try his best to fill it one day, then sweetly added, “Confirm plus chop,” promising that he would make sure to come back to Singapore.
He performed an exciting setlist that included “Little Light”, “Dallas Love Field”, “Like a Star”, and more. Doyoung also brought in tracks from his group discography, including NCT DOJAEJUNG’s “Perfume”, and NCT 127’s “Love Song”. A jazz-inspired segment provided a refreshing change of pace, with Doyoung showing off his piano skills as he played alongside the pianist on stage.
To help fans sing along, Doyoung arranged for lyrics to be displayed on screen. He joked that he wasn’t forcing anyone to sing, but really hoped they would. The audience happily obliged, singing and doing fanchants at just the right moments. Touched by the effort, Doyoung thanked the crowd for singing so well in a language that wasn’t their own. “It doesn’t feel like a foreign language,” he said, smiling, before adding “Steady la” and “Swee la,” which drew laughter and cheers.
He ended the night with heartfelt words, saying “I want you guys to soar higher than me. I’ll chase you,” and shared his hope that the concert had been a rest point in their lives. He also asked fans to thank his hardworking staff, showing appreciation for the team behind the scenes. There wasn’t a dull moment that night, Doyoung had fans singing, laughing and engaged throughout the show.
We were not only blown away by his memorable vocals, but by the thought and effort Doyoung and his team put into the concert and are already looking forward to welcoming Doyoung back to Singapore after his military enlistment!
