4 August 2016, Singapore – Hit chinese drama Scarlet Heart, is going to make it’s comeback in a Korean version – Scarlet Heart Ryeo this month. If you are a fan of the hit chinese drama Scarlet Heart (步步惊心), then you should be reading on here. The drama based on the novel of the same name, was a hit when first released; with heartthrob Nicky Wu as the male lead and Cecilia Liu as the female lead. The pair also kick-started their romance in this drama, and are now happily married in real life.
We are used to chinese renditions of Korean dramas and variety, but for once the Koreans decided to remake a chinese hit drama hoping for the same success. I for one will not hope for the 2 leads to “translate” the drama romance into real life. The korean version of the drama Scarlet Heart: Ryeo will be set in the Goryeo era, and will feature as usual good looking casts (especially for the ladies). A mixed of new generation and more experienced actors, featuring Baekyun from EXO and the warm Kang Ha-Neul. Lee Joon Ki plays the main lead in this drama with IU as the female lead.
Check out the hot princes from the Goryeo era.
