After dropping (quite obvious) teasers over the past few days, popular battle royale mobile game PUBG MOBILE has officially announced its upcoming collaboration with the queen of endorsements, BLACKPINK.
As an avid PUBG MOBILE player myself, I could sense this collaboration coming up, as Playing with Fire was featured in the game during Season 14, in conjunction with the “Spark the Flame” theme in the Erangel and Miramar maps. Imagine my surprise when I first heard the song playing on spawn island (as well as at tent locations only available during that limited time period).
On 24 September, the list of special events was finally released in-game on PUBG MOBILE, following PUBG MOBILE’s release of the event calendar on their social media pages:

At the lobby, you can now play “How You Like That” as the background music while waiting for your game to start.
Under the Events section, you can also find the series of BLACKPINK X PUBG MOBILE time limited events.
In the first event, show your support to the BLACKPINK members and unlock perks when you send gifts to their personalized spaces. Complete in-game missions to light up light sticks to get the permanent Spring T-Shirt and Cheer Lantern Gifts for Spaces which can be gifted to the respective members’ PUBG MOBILE accounts.
The top contributor to each BLACKPINK member’s popularity list will get a signed gift from BLACKPINK, and the top 10 rankings for lighting up the light sticks will receive signed BLACKPINK albums and/or in-game outfits.

Simply share a screenshot of the collaboration using the hashtag #PUBGMXBLACKPINK on Facebook, Twitter or Instagram, and you may be 1 of the 5 lucky winners to walk away with a signed copy of BLACKPINK’s new album, “The Album”. This event runs from 20 September 2020 to 8 October 2020.
Looking at the timeline, there’s still more exciting events lined up for BLINKs: the BLACKPINK-themed airplane finish and air drop is definitely something to look forward to, as well as the BLACKPINK billboard which will likely appear in spawn island or at certain locations in a game map.
