The iconic Xin Yao figure – Liang Wern Fook will be holding his first concert on 11th April 2015. The tickets started to go on sale on 8th December and all 5,000 seats were completely sold out in just 6 hours. Liang has also achieved a new record – he is the first local musician who has his concert tickets all sold out within a day.
The concert titled “For Music, for Life… Liang Wenfu Concert 2015” is surprisingly Liang’s first solo concert in his 35 years of music career. News on his solo concert started to spread online 2 months ago, and successfully generated curiosity and excitement among the loyal Xin Yao fans. Currently there are still many fans who didn’t manage to purchase the concert tickets leaving messages on Liang’s Facebook expressing their disappointment, and hoping that the production for a 2nd show is on its way. With regard to this, the organisers Ocean Butterflies Music and Feeling Station mentioned that a 2nd show will be seriously considered if the response from the crowd is positive and overwhelming.
