Living in the heart of Cheongdam-dong means rubbing shoulders with your favourite idol stars at your doorsteps. Here are the entertainment companies in Cheongdam-dong near the guesthouse where your favourite KPOP stars go to work.
Right around the corner from Cheongdam Guesthouse is JYP Entertainment! The JYPE building cannot be missed, with the walls covered with the latest poster of every active group in the group, and giant white “JYPE” letters at the entrance! The building is always busy, with JYPE idols bustling in and out to their schedules daily. Sometimes even (whisper) JYP himself can be spotted too!
Cube Cafe is the cafe owned and operated by CUBE Entertainment that is right next to the CUBE Entertainment building! It’s connected to the main agency and while fans cannot enter, they can watch their favourite oppa, unnie or sometimes their managers go in and out of the agency. Way better than waiting outside in the cold (or heat, depending on which season you visit Korea~), a win-win for fans and the agency!
Down the road from JYPE and Cheongdam Guesthouse is the newly established Rain Company! The area used to have a cafe owned by Rain but it has renovated into an entertainment agency building when Rain started his own company. The building looks empty for most days but sometimes someone drops by and you can tell when you see their big fluffy white dog waiting outside~
Back to Cheongdam Guesthouse, if you walk down the street parallel to it, you will arrive right at SM Entertainment building! The SM Entertainment building and its carpark entrance are on opposite sides of the road so fans wait at the entrance or the park opposite the main building to catch a glimpse of their idols.
The next street down, you will see the spanking new building of FNC Entertainment! FNC stands out from the surroundings with its giant gate and poster of the currently promoting act on the walls. Fans usually wait opposite the main gate at the carpark of the building across FNC, or at the carpark behind the building. If you get hungry while waiting, there’s a GS25 convenience store for a quick bite or to quench your thirst. A little birdie told us that there’s a cafe nearby called COFFEED where FNC stars have been sighted having a cuppa or two.
