It was Yoo Yeon Seok‘s first time in Singapore for his ‘2025 YOO YEON SEOK FANMEETING [The Secret Code: Y] ASIA TOUR‘. Entering the stage donned in a smart suit, Yoo Yeon Seok serenaded the audience with the first song – ‘See The Light‘. He mentioned that he is very happy and nervous to be here in Singapore for the first time and he heard that his latest drama ‘When The Phone Rings‘ is a big hit here and therefore he decided to wear what his character Baek Sa Eon frequently wore in the drama.
Following the congratulatory VCR from his fellow casts from ‘When The Phone Rings‘ for his fanmeeting, ‘Numb‘ was the second song that Yoo Yeon Seok sang for the night.
Next up was a segment where fans were able to vote beforehand what they think the answer would Yoo Yeon Seok pick from the various questions given to him.
One particular question was “Which hairstyle did Yeon Seok like the most” and one of the choice was Gu Dong Mae‘s long hair and rugged look from the drama ‘Mr Sunshine‘. He quipped that actually a lot of people have commented that the Gu Dong Mae hairstyle reminded them of Jesus, which drew laughter from the audience.
Yoo Yeon Seok also shared that the food that he has tried so far in Singapore were Chili Crab, Ba Kut Teh and Kaya Toast. He even shared a quick TMI that he had the experience of making kaya jam before. This was on a TV program filmed in Jeju called ‘Coffee Friends‘. (I personally really love that variety show as it was so healing to watch!)
After a change of clothes, Yoo Yeon Seok reappeared on stage decked in full denim.
Lee Joon, the music director of musical, ‘Hedwig‘, which Yoo Yeon Seok had participated in, was invited on stage for a special acoustic live session together with Yoo Yeon Seok. While director Lee Joon strummed on the new guitar that he brought particularly for this fanmeeting tour in Asia, Yoo Yeon Seok sang ‘Love Of My Life‘ and the audience were swooning over it. Next up, a song that Yoo Yeon Seok specially prepared for his Singapore fans as he heard that his Singapore fans love the drama ‘Hospital Playlist‘, he sang the song that Ahn Jeong Won sung in the drama – ‘To You‘. The acoustic session then ended with the song ‘Desperado‘.
This fameeting felt more like a musical as Yoo Yeon Seok continued with the song ‘Say My Name‘ after a group photo session with the audience and ‘If You Ask Me What Love Is‘ for encore stage.
We are sure he definitely enjoyed his time here with his Singapore fans as he surprised the audience with an en-encore stage, bringing director Lee Joon back up on stage with his guitar once more. The final 2 songs of the night were ‘The Origin of Love‘ from his musical ‘Hedwig‘, and ‘Creep‘.
We simply can’t wait to welcome Yoo Yeon Seok back to Singapore again!
