Winter is fast approaching in Korea, which means it’s time to bring out the thick winter coats, gloves, and hot packs.

It’s also the perfect time to enjoy winter sports such as skiing, snowboarding and sledding in the mountains full of powdery-white snow!

There are lots of ski resorts all over Korea that thousands of tourists and winter sports fans flock to every year to hit the slopes. Here are our top 3 that you must check out this winter!

  1. Yongpyong Ski Resort

With 28 slopes and 14 cable lifts, Yongpyong Ski Resort is the biggest ski and snowboard resort in Korea. With an average snowfall of 250 centimeters each year, the ski season here is longer than other resorts, so you can enjoy skiing from November to April.

Whether you’re of beginner, intermediate, or expert level, there’s a huge variety of slopes to enjoy. The Rainbow, Gold, and Mega Green slopes are the most popular, though Mega Green is the best choice for beginners.

For those who are traveling alone and want a hassle-free way to get to the resort, the shuttle bus service will sort that out for you.

And if you want to enjoy a full day of skiing or snowboarding with transport, attire and equipment all provided, the 1 Day Ski/Snowboard Tour is perfect.
