What do the boys of KPOP do when they are off-duty?

They play games.

Like other boys their age would, they spend their free time playing games and the one game that has many people hooked right now is Overwatch. Idols who have mentioned the game include VIXX’s Hongbin (he is so good at the game that he is dubbed “The Hanzo Master”), MONSTA X’s Kihyun, Minhyuk, I.M and Highlight’s Doojoon.

A particular pair from BTS, however, has been showing the game a lot of love and they are: V and Jungkook!

It is no secret to ARMYs that the boys are avid gamers; leader Rap Monster once asked now-roommate V to not play games until the morning. Many ARMYs have also expressed their curiosity and interest in the game. However, if such games are not up your alley, perhaps you can try To The Edge of the Sky?

What is To The Edge of the Sky?

To The Edge of the Sky is a visual novel (aka role-playing) created by the wonderful team at Aeon Dream Studios. They are an independent visual novel game developer that started in 2015 and are an all-female team (yay, female power!).

Enter the year 2077 and become Seven, the newest addition to Phantom Alpha, a secret team who operates under the enigmatic government organization known as P.H.A.N.T.A.S.M.

After joining, you find yourself befriending the other rookie on the team, an incredibly skilled youth known to you only as Zero. As you meet the other members, you realize that despite being a team, they all vary drastically in personality, background, talent and ability.

Regardless of your differences, Phantom Alpha diligently completes missions alongside each other. But together, you soon discover that on the other side of the radiant world of light, lies an equally dark world of shadows…

As of now, only a demo version is available for fans to try out and it is divided into two parts, with the second part planned to come out at a later time.

KPOP fans who are regular listeners of piano covers on Youtube will be more than delighted to know that Smyang Piano is also a part of the project!

Psst, the team have shared that the game is based off BTS’ concepts and themes. ARMYs who are drawn to the theories behind the boys’ releases, this is definitely a game not to miss!

What happens after the demo?

Aeon Dream Studios is looking to eventually develop this into a full-fledged game but will need the permission of BTS’ company, BigHit Entertainment. They are in the midst of contacting BigHit Entertainment in hopes of working together on the game. Meanwhile, they are hoping that ARMYs and fellow KPOP fans alike will help by sharing the demo as much as possible.

They also have surveys that you can help fill out so they can give a better idea of fans’ expectations.

What if they can’t create the full game?

Hey, don’t jinx it!

Well, they have said that should the outcome be this, they will still proceed to release the second part of the game demo.

Want to be a part of why this will work out? Head over to their website now, try the game demo and share it with as many people as possible!

As of now, the game demo is only available for download on desktop.
