The young guitar prodigy Sungha Jung returned back to Singapore last Saturday night for his fifth headlining show, Sungha Jung Live in Singapore 2015, performing in front of a sold-out audience at the Esplanade Concert Hall.

The night began with songs from Sungha’s Jung latest album “Two Of Me”Riding A Bicycle, Fairy Tale and Waiting. After his original pieces, Sungha performed a crowd favourite that is also from one of his favourite Korean musicians, Yiruma’s River Flows In You.

In conjunction with Singapore’s 50th anniversary, Sungha had also prepared, and performed an amazing rendition of Stefanie Sun’s We Will Get There. Sungha continued to perform another original piece, Sprint from his “Monologue” album and Lee Byung-Woo’s Bird.

After the intermission, Sungha Jung returned to stage to perform Stevie Wonder’s Isn’t She Lovely and Ed Sheeran’s Thinking Out Loud, with the audience clapping along to his strums. Sungha then treated the crowd to a melodious rendition of The Milky Way, followed by an intense yet charismatic performance of Flaming, both from his “Monologue” album as well.

Sungha also put up brilliant performances of Taeyang’s Eyes, Nose, Lips, Nostalgia from his “Paint It Acoustic” album, and a local song where his cover video went viral online earlier on this year amongst the Singaporeans, which is none other than Kit Chan’s Home.

“I’ll come back next year, definitely. You guys have to come next year! Thank you for coming tonight and please don’t forget to check my YouTube, Facebook and Instagram accounts!” Sungha quipped cutely when he returned to stage for the last time to perform his encore piece, Maurice Ravel’s Bolero.
