The Korea Festival 2015 is proudly organized by the Embassy of the Republic of Korea in Singapore and celebrates 40 years of diplomatic relations between Korea and Singapore. The SGK Pre-fest is a preview of the Korea Festival 2015, and showcases performances and booth exhibits representing some of the events and Korean aspects to be highlighed during the upcoming Korea Festival 2015.
Held at the Joyden Hall, Bugis + on the 15th September 2015, the festival will open to public from 6 to 9pm. This free admission event will also feature a quiz show, SGK Quiz on Korea, hosted by MC Dee Kosh, a popular internet personality and radio DJ, and co-hosted by Ferlyn G, former K-pop idol from the group SKARF. The quiz aims to test the participant’s general knowledge on Korea and Korean culture. The quiz will be open to all interested participants, so register now and stand to win prizes worth up to $900, including a brand new Samsung Galaxy S6. Registration can be made at www.sgkpopcon.com.
Find out more about the Korean Film Festival 2015 and the line-up of hit films the team has assembled for your viewing pleasure with the theme “simply the most recent Korean films just for you” in mind. The festival features the freshest Korean films like the Northern Limit Line, The Divine Move, Love Forecast and more, most of them were not released locally. In addition, participate in the KFF’s contest and win free movie tickets to the film festival.
Head on down to the Taekwondo booth organized by Ildo Taekwondo and be amazed by live demonstrations by expert instructors. Learn a move or two for self-defence as you find out more about the roots and traditions of this martial art, and also about the school’s training programs.
