Jakarta – March 25, 2014. After great success in Vietnam (2011), Thailand (2012) and China (2013), Asian Dream Cup returns in Indonesia for 2014. Asian Dream Cup is a charity football game event that hosted by JS Foundation with the purpose of improving football environment in South East Asia and to deliver hope and support to talented young football players. To confirm this good news, JS Foundation and SH Entertainment held a press conference this afternoon in The Ice Palace, Lotte Shopping Avenue, Jakarta.
JS Foundation claims to be the messenger of happiness and joy to people and different countries through sport, especially football. It all started with a dream of former Republic of Korea’s national football team’s captain, Park Ji-Sung, to provide hopes and dreams to unprivileged children and create a place for cultural exchange between countries through football. While SH Entertainment, as the chosen organizer and promoter for Asian Dream Cup 2014, is an active company that promotes Republic of Korea’s music and culture in Indonesia. Some past events that held by SH Entertainment in Indonesia are Tim Hwang Live in Concert, Kim Jae-Joong’s 1st Fan Meeting and Lukie Beat Live in Concert.
At the first session of the press conference, as the representative of JS Foundation, Park Sung-Jong gave a brief presentation of Asian Dream Cup 2014. Park Sung-Jong, who is also Ji-Sung’s father, shared some of Ji-Sung’s dreams to bring his hopes, joy and love for football and young football players to Indonesia. He also informed that Park Ji-Sung will spend three days in Indonesia for this event.
The second session of the press conference was a Q&A session that was attended by Monica and Zaki as the representatives of SH Entertainment, also Mukti Ali Raja and Leo Saputra as the representatives of Indonesian All-Star Team. Through the Q&A session, more information regarding Asian Dream Cup was revealed. The charity football match between Indonesian All-Star Team with Park Ji-Sung and Friends Team for Asian Dream Cup 2014 will be held on Stadion Utama Gelora Bung Karno (Gelora Bung Karno’s Main Stadium) on June 2, 2014. Not only the charity football match, the training session for the players will also be held a day before.
Even though most of the players that will participate in this match are still on confirmation, Indonesian All-Star Team expected big names in the likes of Ismed Sofyan, Bambang Pamungkas and Ponaryo Astaman, including Mukti Ali Raja and Leo Saputra that attended the press conference to participate. On Park Ji-Sung and Friends Team, the promoter hopes to bring some big names in international football. The confirmed line-up is still left to be confirmed as the World Cup 2014’s schedule only 10 days away from the match day.
However, SH Entertainment has confirmed that all fixed members of Republic of Korea’s variety TV show, Running Man, will be taking part in this event. Not only one or two, but all the members including Yoo Jae-Seok, Ji Suk-Jin, Kim Joong-Kook, Gary, Haha, Lee Kwang-Soo and Song Ji-Hyo, will come to Indonesia. SH Entertainment also hinted there will be three mini-concerts during the events. The mini-concerts will be held on the opening match, during half-time and after the match. All the artists for these occasions are also left to be confirmed later on.
The ticket price for the charity football match and training day of Asian Dream Cup 2014 will be revealed on April 5, 2014. SH Entertainment hinted that the tickets’ price range are varies from under IDR 100,000 until around IDR 2,000,000.
