Q: Hi Queenz Eye, it’s such a pleasure to have you! Could you please introduce yourselves to our readers?
Won Chae: Hello, I’m the leader, Won Chae! I’m in charge of singing, dancing, and of course, bringing cuteness to the group.
Ah Yoon: Hi! I’m Ah Yoon, the rapper of Queenz Eye with a cool charm. I’m especially happy to be here with KAvenyou!
Kiirii: Hello! I’m small and precious Kiirii.
Seo Ha: Hi, I’m Seo Ha, the youngest member who brings a lively and bright energy to Queenz Eye! It’s truly an honor and joy to be able to greet KAvenyou readers.
Seo Vin: Hello! I’m Seo Vin, the lucky charm of Queenz Eye, who wants to bring happiness to everyone.
Jin Yul: Hi, KAvenyou readers! I’m Jin Yul. I’m so glad I could be part of this interview too.
Q: Congratulations on your mini album ‘[PRISM EP.01]’! Could you tell us more about the concept of the album and what the preparation process was like?
Won Chae: Since this is our very first mini album, [PRISM EP.01] carries the theme of “beginnings.” It’s filled with refreshing tracks that capture our determination, excitement, and energetic spirit as we start this new chapter. Through this album, I believe listeners will get to experience a more colorful and fresh side of Queenz Eye. Because it’s an album that feels like both a debut and a comeback at the same time, it was even more meaningful and precious to us. Of course, there were moments of worry, but thanks to the great synergy with our staff and members, the preparation process, though challenging, was truly a happy one.

Q: “TRIPPIN‘” was written and composed by Ah Yoon, which is amazing! Can you share more about what that creative journey looked like for you?
Ah Yoon: The starting point of this song was actually a rap lesson assignment. For my weekly lessons, I had to bring in a new piece I’d written, so one night I was working late but couldn’t decide on a theme. Out of ideas, I just called a friend and we ended up talking about all sorts of things, eventually, they started sharing their own relationship story. It was so interesting that as soon as I hung up I began writing the lyrics. Thankfully, the company really liked the song I completed, and that’s how it made it all the way here.
Q: We really enjoyed the bright and refreshing vibes in “Feel the Vibe”! What kind of music do each of the members personally enjoy listening to?
Won Chae: I enjoy listening to ’90s pop and Korean songs! But my absolute favorites are R&B, soul, and jazz.
Ah Yoon: My playlist really depends on my mood. When I’m walking or commuting, I usually listen to hip-hop, but when I’m at home relaxing, I love ’90s R&B. Lately, I’ve been really into old-school R&B; it’s always fascinating and fun to rediscover the roots of the genre I love.
Kiirii: I like easy listening music. It’s comfortable to play in the background when I’m drawing or resting, and I also enjoy listening to R&B.
Seo Ha: I think the songs I enjoy change depending on my mood. Most of the time, I listen to warm and melodic music, like folk pop with a soft pop sound.
Seo Vin: I love rock music! I enjoy the variety of sounds that come with it. I also like finding music that matches the season. I even make playlists for each season so I can play songs that fit the weather.
Jin Yul: Personally, I enjoy hopeful OSTs and bright music. Songs with uplifting messages naturally put me in a positive mood. Lately, I’ve been listening a lot to DAY6’s Welcome to the Show”.

Q: What do the members like to do in their free time when you’re not performing or practicing?
Won Chae: These days, I really enjoy taking walks and visiting cafés for a good cup of coffee. I also love traveling and going camping. At home, I like cooking or baking, and I often spend time watching movies or dramas.
Ah Yoon: I like listening to newly released hip-hop and R&B albums from start to finish. Sitting in the studio and really focusing on each track sparks a lot of inspiration for me. It also helps me keep up with current trends, which I find really fun.
Kiirii: When I have free time, I enjoy reading novels. Sometimes I draw as well, but most of the time you’ll find me reading online novels on my phone.
Seo Ha: I like drawing and coloring characters from cartoons I’ve loved or found cute since I was young. Sometimes I’ll binge-watch movies or dramas too.
Seo Vin: I’m really interested in designing. I enjoy decorating and creating things by combining different elements, for example, making posters by cutting and pasting magazine clippings, or customizing my diary covers with stickers and photos. I love mixing colors and building the mood I want, so I often save lots of references for inspiration. Another hobby of mine is collecting LPs. On my days off, I like riding my bike to LP shops or cafés, browsing around, and picking one to bring home. I don’t usually go with something specific in mind; sometimes I’ll just buy one based on the cover or after listening to it right there.
Jin Yul: In my free time, I like going to cafés to read books, enjoy a drink, or write in my journal. I also love finding good restaurants, eating delicious food, and riding my bike along the Han River while taking in the scenery.
Q: With the refreshed member lineup, you’ve spent more time together as a group. Is there any member who turned out to be very different from your first impression?
Kiirii: For me, it’s Won Chae. When we first met, her leader-like presence made me a little nervous and even a bit intimidated. But as I got to know her better, I realized how fun it is to be around her. She makes me laugh so often, and I’ve really grown to like spending time with her.
Jin Yul: Seo Ha was the biggest surprise! At first, she seemed so young, shy, and quiet that when she said her MBTI type was ENFP, I couldn’t believe it. But as time went on and we got closer, she turned out to be the ultimate ENFP, super talkative, playful, and our adorable youngest member. It was such a complete twist from my first impression!
Q: Are there any artists, either from Korea or around the world, that Queenz Eye would love to collaborate with in the future?
Ah Yoon: I’d love to collaborate with AUDREY NUNA. When I first started rapping, many of the songs I practiced with were hers. I think her tone would blend beautifully with ours and create something really fresh and new.
Seo Vin: I’d love to collaborate with Aya Nakamura. I wanted to reveal this big dream in this special interview with KAvenyou! It would make me so happy if one day that dream comes true and we could return to KAvenyou for another interview after making it happen.
Q: Outside of music, what is one thing each member hopes to achieve in 2025?
Ah Yoon: My personal goal for this year is to release another self-written song. I actually have a lot of tracks I’ve been working on, and “TRIPPIN‘” was the first one I was able to share with the world, which made it very meaningful for me. From here, I’d love to show more songs that reflect my own style. What inspires me even more is how amazingly the members brought my song to life; it motivates me to write pieces that highlight each of their charms. I also want to try new genres to expand our group’s sound while continuing to grow as an artist myself.
Kiirii: My goal is simply to enjoy each day with happiness. It may sound simple, but in 2025 I hope to create many wonderful memories with our fans, I-Q, and spend the year feeling grounded and joyful.
Seo Ha: Even though I’m already close with my members, in 2025 I’d like to become even closer and get to know each of them better.
Seo Vin: In 2025, I want to get to know myself more deeply. This year has already been full of big changes and new experiences, and through that, I’ve discovered so many different sides of myself. I want to fully embrace the year ahead, learn more about who I am, and grow even more as a person.
Jin Yul: One thing I’ve always wished for is to communicate more directly with our international fans during video call fan meetings. We usually have an interpreter helping us, but I really want to express my gratitude in my own words. So this year, I’m determined to study English more seriously so that I can have fun and meaningful conversations with them.
Q: Lastly, do you have a special message for your fans in Singapore?
Won Chae: Hello, Singapore I-Q! This is Queenz Eye. Have you been enjoying our album? We’ll keep working hard, so please continue to support us with lots of love. I really hope the day comes when we can meet you in person. Until then, stay healthy and happy. We miss you!
Seo Ha: Hello! I’m so amazed and grateful to know that fans are supporting us all the way from Singapore. Even though I still have a lot to learn, I’ll continue to grow step by step while thinking of our I-Q. Please keep watching over us!
