Enlistment date: 14th August 2017

He became a household name when he landed his first lead role as Donghae, a short-track figure skater in 2010 drama ‘Smile Again’. His career further skyrocketed when he played the role of young king Ta Hwan in historical drama Empress Ki. Ji continued to play roles in dramas such as Healer and more recently, Suspicious Partner. He is due to enlist as an active-duty soldier in less than 2 weeks and has already completed his final official schedule about a fortnight ago. Are you going to miss his gentle smiles? Cause I will!

2. Lee Joon

Enlistment date: 24th October 2017

K-pop idol turned actor Lee Joon most recently starred in My Father In Strange. After his departure from MBLAQ in 2014, he was cast in tvN crime drama Gap-dong where he played a cold-hearted psychotic killer –– different from his usual bright and bubbly image on variety shows. Although not yet a star-studded actor, his versatility in acting has earned himself a name for pleasant viewing. We’ll sure miss his antics when he’s gone!

3. 2PM’s Taecyeon

Enlistment date: Soon but unconfirmed

After smashing the idol world with his beastly image, Taecyeon goes on to build a name for himself in the acting world. He made his debut in acting in 2010 drama Cinderella’s Sister and moved on to star in Dream High which achieved stellar ratings both locally and abroad. He most recently starred in the horror movie “House of the Disappeared” and he is confirmed to appear in OCN’s upcoming thriller drama “Save Me”. Although his official enlistment date has not been confirmed yet, he has mentioned that he will be enlisting very soon, likely within the year.

Meanwhile, two other acclaimed actors Joo Won and Lee Min Ho have just enlisted into the army a couple of months back and seem to be adjusting well. The most recent update stated that Joo Won was appointed as a military instructor which means he will be in charge of the discipline and training of new trainee soldiers! It seems like those who did well outside of army are doing well inside too!

Spend all the time you need to send them off! Time to binge watch on a new drama while waiting for them to return. See you guys soon!
