NCT’s Mark has released his highly anticipated debut solo album, “The Firstfruit“, featuring 13 tracks inspired by four cities that have shaped his life: Toronto, New York, Vancouver and Seoul!
Released on April 7, Mark’s debut album features the title track “1999”, which blends an energetic mix of orchestra, guitar, and brass. The accompanying music video captures an urban aesthetic while incorporating retro elements, reflecting the song’s title and Mark’s birth year.
The 12th track of the album, “Mom’s Interlude”, holds special significance for Mark. It features a piano performance by his mother who was a piano major. Mark expressed that including this track made his debut solo project even more meaningful and precious, surpassing his initial expectations.
“The Firstfruit” also features collaborations with fellow NCT member Haechan, as well as artists like Crush and Lee Young Ji!
