MONSTA X is officially back! Today at noon KST, the globally acclaimed K-pop group released their highly anticipated digital album ‘NOW PROJECT vol.1′.
The album’s title, “NOW”, carries a dual meaning. It represents both the present moment and serves as a reversed form of “MON”, referencing the group’s name. This concept highlights MONSTA X’s current identity and symbolizes the moment they are living in as artists.
The group, made up of members Shownu, Minhyuk, Kihyun, Hyungwon, Joohoney, and I.M, debuted on May 14, 2015, with their first mini-album ‘TRESPASS’. Today marks their 10th anniversary, which they are celebrating with their first full-group release in nearly four years.
‘NOW PROJECT vol.1‘ features ten re-recorded tracks that were originally released between 2021 and 2023. During this period, leader Shownu was serving his mandatory military duty and could not participate in group activities. The tracklist includes title tracks “Rush Hour”, “LOVE”, and “Beautiful Liar” along with B-sides such as “Autobahn”, “Ride with U”, “Mercy”, “LONE RANGER” and “Deny”.
With Hyungwon completing his military service on May 13, MONSTA X has officially concluded its military hiatus. All six members have re-recorded the included songs, creating full-group versions that offer deeper emotion and a renewed synergy. These updated tracks aim to deliver a special and meaningful listening experience for both domestic and international fans.
Each track on the album was written, composed, and arranged by the members themselves. This release reflects MONSTA X’s identity as a self-producing idol group and showcases their continued artistic growth. While the songs originate from previous eras, they express emotions and messages that remain relevant today.

To mark the release, MONSTA X will hold a special 10th anniversary full-group live broadcast at 7 PM KST on their official YouTube channel. The members will reunite in front of fans for a real-time celebration, sharing memories and ushering in the next phase of their journey together.
