Lee Seung Gi Impresses Audience with his Powerful Live Vocals at his ” The Dreamer’s Dream – Chapter 2″ Singapore Concert

After successfully holding his concert in six cities, Lee Seung Gi’s “The Dreamer’s Dream – Chapter 2” Asia Tour finally arrived in Singapore.

Held on 14 June 2023 at Resorts World Convention Centre, Resorts World Ballroom, the concert marked the actor-singer’s return to Singapore after close to four years.

The concert kicked off with ‘The Dreamer’s Dream’ as Lee Seung Gi appeared on stage clad in a black suit.

After his first song, he greeted his fans in different languages – English, Mandarin, Malay and Tamil, and told his fans “I’m really really happy to see you again in Singapore. Thank you for the warm welcome.”

Although he had caught a cold before the concert, he said the cold didn’t affect him much, and he proved so as he continued to sing his hit songs ‘Wind’, ‘Return’ and ‘The Ordinary Man’ flawlessly.

Having debuted on June 5, 2004 at the age of 17, the Korean actor-singer will be celebrating his 20th anniversary next year. Although he has debuted for two decades, next year will be a new beginning for him i.e. Chapter 2 of his career. He plans to release a new album then so Airens can look forward to it!

After he changed to a shimmery sweater, he sang a series of rock songs such as ‘Circle’, ‘Like a Flower’, ‘Slave’ and ‘Losing My Mind’ which got the crowd off their seats and jumping to the beat!

The 36-year-old said, “although I am a ballad singer, I think my fans seem to enjoy my rock songs more.” This makes him have trouble deciding the type of songs he should have for his album next year, in which fans responded that he should just have both!

Having received many compliments on the songs that he covered, Lee Seung Gi continued mesmerising the crowd with ‘Forbidden Love’ – a song that he sang on his variety show ‘All the Butlers’ in 2020, which has already got an impressive 19 million views to date! (if you haven’t seen the clip, you can catch it here). He continued showing off his powerful vocals with ‘Even Though I Loved’ – another cover he performed on ‘All the Butlers’.

Before he ended the concert, he told Airens that the tour started off with just 13 songs, but has increased to 16 songs now.

I haven’t done a concert in 10 years so I wasn’t sure if I could do a full concert… but as I toured more countries, I realised I should have started with 23 songs instead,” Lee Seung Gi joked.

Thereafter, he continued serenading the audience with songs such as ‘Desire and Resent’, ‘Delete’, ‘Music Time’ and ‘Encore’

Of course, the concert couldn’t end without him singing his famous debut song ‘Because You’re My Woman’, which was written by Psy back in 2004.

With his new album to be released next year, he hopes to return to Singapore again with a full concert. He also promised to always do his best and asked Airens to continue supporting him with the love they showered him with today.
