Hwang Min Hyun was in Singapore on 22 August 2026 for Lenskart’s “Frame Your Style” event at Junction 8, where he met fans and shared a little about his time in Singapore! With his schedule packed during the trip, the star revealed that he was hoping to have chilli crab before leaving our sunny island.
He also opened up about meeting Singapore fans again, sharing that his heart was fluttering and that he felt happy and a little nervous. Read on to find out what he shared with us in our exclusive interview with the actor and singer!
Q. You have taken on many memorable roles in dramas such as “Alchemy of Souls“, “My Lovely Liar“, and “Study Group“. If you could spend one more day as one of your past characters, which one would you choose and why?
Hwang Min Hyun: I would like to choose Yoon Ga Min from Study Group as even though he has a very pure personality, if he believes he is right, he will not think about the reasons or excuses before going ahead. He will put himself to it and help his friends even if it is a very difficult or dangerous situation. I believe it is very difficult for it to actually happen in real life but Ga Min actually does it. He commits to it and eventually makes it happen. So that part makes me admire him and respect him. Also physically he is very strong and good at fighting.
Q. Can you give us a sneak peek at what’s coming up next? Any new music, dramas, films, or musicals that fans should be excited about?
Hwang Min Hyun: Just before coming to Singapore, I just completed the filming for the series Study Group 2. I believe that you will hopefully be able to watch the series soon. Also, I am unable to share the specific details yet, but I believe there will be a lot of news that the fans will be very excited to hear, about so please look forward to it!
Q. Your Singapore fans have followed your journey as a singer and actor over the years. What would you like to say to those who have continued to support you?
Hwang Min Hyun: I’m really grateful that the Singapore fans have been constantly rooting for me and supporting me over a long period of time. I know that I am able to be the actor and singer I am today for such a long period of time is all thanks to the support and love from the fans. I will never forget this gratitude and continue to work hard on my activities and show you lots of good sides of myself through the future projects.
Q. Lenskart is known for creating collections inspired by different styles and collaborations.What was your first impression of the “Frame Your Style” collection?
Hwang Min Hyun: When I first took a look at the Lenskart collection, I realised that there were so many different styles of products, from classic to trendy. While I was looking at the collection, I got really excited and happy because it made me wonder, “Which one should I wear? Which one should I try?” So, I was full of excitement while looking at the collection, and those parts really left a great impression on me. I was really happy about it.
It has been almost seven years since Hwang Min Hyun last visited Singapore, and his return at Lenskart’s “Frame Your Style” event was certainly a long-awaited one for fans. From chic to trendy, he effortlessly embodies every style, and fans definitely had a fun time seeing him back in Singapore.
