On January 27th, KINO successfully kicked off his first live event in Seoul titled “BORN NAKED: LIVE IN SEOUL” at Musinsa Garage, Seoul.
The event was filled with songs composed by the singer himself and all of the songs were rearranged for a band set. From fan favourites like “POSE” and “How it was” to unreleased “Dancing On The Road”, there were never a dull moment for the audience. Especially, the singer’s latest release “Fashion Style” was a crowd pleaser, where the audience sang and chanted throughout the performance.
What made the music show special was the interaction between the artist and the fans. Through “Soundscape” effects, it stimulated the audience’s senses, presenting an immersive experience. KINO also shared stories on his tour diary which he wrote everyday from 30 days prior to the concert. In addition, during his rendition of “Fly Me To The Moon”, he performed in the middle of the crowd, making the night even more special.
What made “BORN NAKED” special was that not only it was his first live show to take place in Korea since the establishment of his label, NAKED, but it was also held on KINO’s birthday. As the title indicates, it was a show that showcased the natural side of KINO and the new sound he will be pursuing.
“It was my very first show in Seoul as a solo artist and to bring a show that’s never done before, I was involved in all of the production process. My worry of whether the audience will enjoy the show vanished as I saw them on the stage. It was heart-warming to witness the audience enjoying the show as I wished them to. I want to thank them all and today will be the most memorable birthday of mine.”– KINO
After two successful shows in Japan and Korea, KINO will continue on with BORN NAKED tour, with the next stop taking place in Taipei, Taiwan on March 10th.
