With his smooth dance moves and charming smile, EXO’s KAI made his highly-anticipated return to Singapore last weekend for his “2025 KAI SOLO CONCERT TOUR <KAION> IN SINGAPORE”! The Star Theatre was packed with EXO-Ls, EXO’s dedicated fans, all gathered to show their love and support for the beloved performer.
Wasting no time after his military discharge in February, KAI released his fourth mini-album “Wait on Me” and thrilled fans even more by launching his first-ever solo concert tour, <KAION>. At the start of the concert, KAI explained how the name came to be; merging his name ‘Kai’ with ‘Aion’, the Greek word for eternity.
Opening the concert dressed in red, KAI breathlessly shared that he was both excited and nervous before stepping on stage, it felt like a dream to finally meet Singapore EXO-Ls again after such a long time. Singapore marked the fourth stop of the tour, and he jokingly remarked that the city’s heat felt more intense than he remembered, both from the tropical climate and the passionate energy radiating from the crowd.
KAI was truly a treat to watch onstage! From sultry numbers like “Vanilla”, during which he wore glasses that drove fans wild, to playful tracks like “Come In” featuring a cute dance with finger hearts, and addictive viral hits like “Adult Swim”, KAI showcased his versatility as a performer. By mid-show, his sweat-soaked outfit showed just how much passion and energy he poured into every moment.
A special section of the setlist featured an EXO medley of “My Lady”, “Baby, Don’t Cry” and “Angel”. While KAI danced, fans sang along in a moving wave of nostalgia. He then playfully asked if he seemed different from the KAI fans met 14 years ago when EXO’s first teasers were released. Reflecting on his growth, he had the crowd roaring with laughter by cheekily asking if he was sexier now.
Beyond the powerful performances, KAI’s candid talk segments were also a highlight of the evening. His third outfit was a black leather jacket with no shirt underneath and it drew deafening screams the moment he appeared on stage. Teasing fans who couldn’t stop filming, he encouraged them to replay the clips they took and think of him until they meet again.
As the concert neared its end, KAI shared a surprise just for Singapore fans: he would soon be flying to Milan for Fashion Week. He hinted that if fans spotted him doing a finger heart during those appearances, it would be a special message meant just for them.
The encore began with fans serenading KAI with their own rendition of “Adult Swim”, their voices echoing the love he had poured into the show. Many also joined in the KAI dance challenge, filling the venue with synchronized energy that impressed even KAI before he returned to the stage for the final encore.
During the group photo at the end of the concert, instead of the usual peace signs and cute poses, KAI offered a sweet, symbolic group hug for everyone present. He also playfully declared that he loved his fans more than they loved him. With all the love and support he had received, he added that he felt strong enough to finish the rest of the tour in good health.
The night ended not with a goodbye, but with a heartfelt promise: that KAI would return with an even better stage next time.
