[EXCLUSIVE] Where will an idol go when she visits Singapore for holiday?

Have we ever wondered where would an idol (regardless of where they are from) visit, or eat (apart from Chilli Crab) when in Singapore for a holiday? We thought of doing this “BIG REVEAL” to kick off 2019, because we had the opportunity to “stalk” (we actually didn’t) an idol; when she was here just last week.

KAvenyou has been doing our rounds of social media “listening” for all these years, and know enough to share with you where idols would go. We habitually revealed about Korean Stars that “Secretly” invaded Singapore, and also shares such “news” habitually on our social media handlers; such as Twitter and Instagram (so you know where to find it).

Japanese idol Riona Hamamatsu
(AKB48 Team 8 graduate)

Riona was invited to make her first solo appearance at the EOY J-culture Festival in Singapore, where she performed to multiple Japanese and Korean hits; as well as held meet & greets over the 2 days event. Before that, she made her rounds to various popular Singapore tourist spots (like a Singapore holiday). Here’s some of the cool spots she visited, and do click on the links to find out more about the attractions.

Sentosa (Megazip)

Riona shared a short clip of herself zipping down the Megazip, as she took on the challenge of this 75 meter high and 450 meter long zip line on the island of Sentosa; which is a popular tourist destination whenever anyone visits Singapore for a holiday.

Singapore River Safari

The Singapore Zoo is one of the world’s top ranked zoo, and for its’ accolades it is no wonder tourists and idols alike would want to “check-in”. The River Safari also houses the giant panda pair of Jia Jia and Kai Kai, given to Singapore by China as part of their famed “Panda politics”.

Gardens by the Bay

This the season to be at the Gardens by the Bay, as the entire gardens area was light up for the Christmas season; and it is probably the “must-visit” destinations for some instagram-worthy photographs. Influencers do not miss such opportunities, what more for an idol visiting Singapore for the first time.

Tiramisu Hero

Tiramisu Hero is all the rage in Japan right now, and one has to probably join a 6 months waiting list; just to get their customised Tiramisu fix. Riona wouldn’t want to miss the chance, since we assume for something so popular; even idols would need to join the “queue” back in Japan.

Gong Cha (Surprise!)

We were caught by surprise for this, but the truth is Gong Cha is also all the rage right now in Japan. She would have missed it if she was here in Singapore last year, but one can always settle for Liho or other bubble tea options.

Japanese idol Riona Hamamatsu
(AKB48 Team 8 graduate)
reveals about her desire to be a K-Pop idol

We also spoke to Riona on the sidelines of the EOY J-culture Festival, and her positivity and cheerfulness really infected us. She revealed about her coming plans, and how opportunities somehow bringing her into AKB48.
