While some of us will be celebrating Chinese New Year, Koreans will be celebrating their Lunar New Year too – also known as seollal (설날). In Korea, seollal is a three-day holiday where people will usually return to their hometowns to visit their families.

It is a tradition to dress up in hanbok (although this custom is slowly dying down), and the younger people will perform traditional bows (sebae) in front of their elders. In return, they will receive New Year’s money (세뱃돈) from the elders, which is similar to red packets.

Thus, for Lunar New Year greeting videos, some celebrities will be dressed in hanboks and giving sebaes, while wishing everyone a happy seollal – can you spot them in the following videos?
