Alt-pop singer and songwriter eaJ makes his long-awaited comeback with “Feel Myself”, a euphoric new single out now via Position Music. Produced by Kyle Reith, the track moves through a shuffling beat that starts, stops and slips into frantic bursts around a warm bass-line, pairing eaJ’s fast-paced cadence with distorted synths and a soaring, chantable chorus.
The release arrives alongside an official music video in which eaJ wears pieces by Indonesian fashion designer RM Radinindra Nayaka, carrying the introspective world of “Feel Myself” from sound into image. At its core, “Feel Myself” reflects on a year spent reckoning with what maturity demands and the gradual process of feeling grounded again. Rather than presenting growth as a clean transformation, eaJ sits with its messier reality: uncertainty, self-reflection and a slowly returning sense of confidence.
“I wrote this one about my battle with maturity over the past year and the slow journey back to sanity,” eaJ shares.
That return is mirrored in the song’s restless production. A stop-start rhythm builds tension before distorted synths break through the pre-chorus as eaJ declares toward the end of the song: “Yeah, it’s good to be back.”Since launching his solo career in 2022 with “Car Crash” which amassed over 31 million streams, eaJ has developed a catalogue where alternative experimentation meets direct, emotionally resonant songwriting. His work has collectively earned hundreds of millions of streams, while collaborations with MAX, Rich Brian, Hindia, Keshi, MICO and Seori demonstrate his range across genres and borders.
With “Feel Myself”, eaJ begins this next chapter with renewed clarity, setting the tone for his most revealing work yet.
