Hong Kong – Super Junior member, Kyuhyun, had his solo concert “Reminiscence of a Novelist” tour in Hong Kong and we were there to catch every of his precious moments with the local fans!
Kyuhyun, known for his ballad songs, didn’t fail to appease our expectations in pleasing our ears and even surprised us with hip-hop, dance and musical songs. That’s what we call being an “all-rounded artist!”
This marks the last stop of his ongoing concert tour, ‘Reminiscence of a Novelist‘. The youngest member of Super Junior, who is enlisting into the army later this year, expressed his thoughts and feelings on enlistment. The 29-year-old spoke in fluent Mandarin throughout the almost 3-hour concert, without any translator, showing his practice and experience from China promotions as a SJ-M member.
Kyuhyun called on his fans to wait for him and continue supporting other Super Junior members: “This is the last tour of my concert, and I can only meet you guys after 2 years. Don’t be sad, when I enlist, other members will end their service, please support them”.
The singer belted out fan favourites ‘Blah Blah‘, ‘Still‘, and ‘Two Men‘, before ending his concert with the chart-killer, ‘At Gwanghwamun‘ which placed on top charts for weeks when released back in 2014.
The idol also showed his musical, rapping and girl group talents through special stages like musical piece ‘Ich Bin Musik‘, ‘Forever‘ by Bewhy, and popular ‘Cheer Up‘ by TWICE. Chinese popular pop favourites like ‘新不了情’, ‘那些年’, ‘听海’ were also performed in effortless fluent Chinese, what can this man NOT do? We couldn’t help but fall with him more by the end of the night. Kyuhyun will be holding an encore solo concert, ‘An Author’s Tale [Epilogue]’ on 1 and 2 April 2017 in Seoul’s Blue Square Samsung Card Hall, but sadly it seems like we will have to wait 2 years before he visits Hong Kong shores again.
