Singapore – Ethan Juan (阮經天) will be in Singapore to promote his latest film, Paradise in Service (軍中樂園) on 27th October 2014. 軍中樂園 is Ethan’s first film after being discharged from the military.
Set in 1969 and based on actual historical happenings, the movie follows the experiences of new recruit, Xiao-bao (Ethan Juan), who was picked to join the military unit with the toughest training. Due to his fear of water, he was eventually dismissed from the unit and assigned to work at ”軍中樂園”, an official prostitution house for the servicemen. The film explores the life of three males and three females at this military paradise.
Starring Ethan Juan, Chen Jian-bin (陈建斌) and Ivy Chen (陈意涵), 軍中樂園 is Ethan’s first project after he completed his military service, and is the third time he is working with Director Doze Niu (鈕承澤). It was selected as the opening film of the 19th Busan International Film Festival this year and has received 5 nominations at the Golden Horse Awards (金馬獎).
In conjunction with the promotion of the movie, Ethan Juan would be meeting the Singapore audience at the Gala Premiere at GV Vivo City on Monday, 27th October. On top of the chance to meet Ethan up close, fans who purchased the tickets would also receive a limited edition full-sized movie poster as displayed at cinemas.
Tickets for the Gala Premiere are priced at $50 each and is available on the Golden Village ticketing website.
