10CM Returns To Singapore With Sincerity Over Perfection On His <To 10CM: Chapter 1> Tour Stop

Kwon Jung-yeol, more well known as 10CM, returned to Singapore after two years with his latest Asia tour <To 10CM: Chapter 1> in Singapore, to the high expectations of his fans. His growing popularity through well loved OST tracks has brought added attention to his music, especially among K-drama viewers. Before the concert began, the audience was informed that 10CM might not be able to complete the full setlist due to a sudden decline in his throat condition. Even so, the crowd stayed on without hesitation, as 10CM continued to give his best and carry on with the performance.

The concert unfolded in a theatrical musical-like style, beginning with a quirky entrance as 10CM appeared through the centre of closed curtains. Midway through the show, the curtains were drawn back to reveal a live band made up of a drummer, keyboardist, guitarist and bassist, who supported 10CM on stage throughout his performance. 10CM also showcased his musical talent by playing the guitar during songs like “To Reach You” and “Gradation”, giving the set a more personal touch.

With his distinct voice, 10CM also revisited old favourites such as “It’s So Nice” and “Americano”, while also delivering newer hits like “Love in the Milky Way Cafe” and “Stalker”. However, the loudest cheers and singalong came when the chorus to “Spring Snow” began, to his delight. As a special present for Singapore fans, a place 10CM had expressed his desire to return to, he performed a rendition of Kit Chan’s “Home”, which moved some of the local audience to tears.

In the encore segment, 10CM returned the same way through the centre of closed curtains, performing an OST medley of “Drawer” and “Tell Me It’s Not a Dream”, and also an encore performance of “Hug Me”.

To make it up to fans who had waited so long for his return, 10CM announced a full refund due to his vocal condition and even offered a handshake session for everyone at the end of the show. While the situation was unfortunate, it also showed his professionalism and sincerity in seeing the concert through. The concert may not have been the most perfect one, but it definitely was meaningful to his fans, and many will be looking forward to the day he returns to Singapore again, at his very best.
