On Friday the 19th, Hiphop / R&B-inspired girl group, XG released their new single “GALA“, the lead track from their upcoming 1st full album, along with its official music video.
“GALA“, a pre-release track from their 1st full album set to drop on January 23 next year, is a high-energy runway anthem featuring futuristic sounds and striking visuals. With distinctive synth tones and a danceable beat, the track boldly reimagines the world of fashion, breaking conventions and offering a fresh perspective through XG’s unique sensibility. The song opens with an intro that evokes the scale of descending from space, then unfolds into a dynamic blend of powerful rap, bilingual flow, driving house rhythms, and cinematic sound design. The music video, also released today, draws inspiration from the MET GALA, a global gathering of fashion icons. The story begins with the members awakening from sleep capsules and descending to Earth, not as guests but as the stars of the show. XG will also embark on their “CHINA FESTIVAL TOUR,” appearing at a series of major music festivals across China: “MDSK MUSIC FESTIVAL” in Beijing on October 2, “STRAWBERRY MUSIC FESTIVAL” in Guangzhou on October 4, and “LUZHOU GALAXY LEFT BANK MUSIC FESTIVAL” in Luzhou on October 7. They will also perform at “Coca‑Cola X Fes 2025” at Saitama Super Arena on October 11 and 12.
