In a world where human interactions are mainly based on conversations between the streamer and their viewers, we are introduced to Woo Sung – or “IDOL” – an individual specialising in criminal profiling and covering crime-related mystery cases. IDOL also self-identifies himself as a content creator who prides on being good at what he does by analyzing crime scenes and getting into the killer’s mind.
When a reenactment of a crime scene goes wrong, he finds himself upstaged by the content creator, Matilda, who collaborates with him to try to solve the case they call “The Hemline Killer”.
Desperate to regain his title as the top creator, he goes on a frenzied quest to solve the case of the kidnapped Matilda leading to some unexpected discoveries.
Obsession can create monsters as we crave for attention and desperation to achieve that can cause harm to lives.
Whether it’s the content creators themselves or the netizens who use their keyboards as tools for harm, one thing is for sure… we are our own demons.
STREAMING takes on an interesting live-streaming concept, allowing the audiences to be fully engrossed as participants of the live stream as Woo Sung, portrayed by Kang Ha Neul, brings us through his journey of uncovering the mystery of “The Hemline Killer”. In the current world where live streaming is prevalent for almost everything, this concept becomes very relevant to us, especially as it depicts the streaming culture where people may do anything to hit the top.

However, this movie is definitely not for the weak-hearted, as the plot goes through a roller coaster ride of deaths, whether natural or non-natural. For the strong-hearted ones, prepare yourself (and your hearts) for STREAMING in theatres, airing now exclusively at Golden Village Cinemas!
