National Day is around the corner, and it is the time every year where we Singaporeans “fight” for tickets to the National Day Parade.

Tiger beer being one of the most recognised brand in Singapore can hardly be pulled back in jumping onto the National Day promotions bandwagon. Tiger launched a new campaign “Uncage” recently with the key message to encourage people to break free from conformity, and lead a unique life on your own. In order to fuse with the National Day theme, Tiger collaborated with Tree Potatoes (Singapore’s popular Youtube comedy channel) to run the “You Know You’re Singaporean When…” #YouKnowYoureSingaporeanWhen campaign. True enough, almost every Singaporean will get the feeling of Déjà vu when you watch the interesting re-enactments of the things we do in our every day lives. Who else in the world can relate to the honking of a horn to the recycling man collecting newspapers or playing soccer under the void deck, even though signs clearly shows that it is prohibited?
It is a light-hearted campaign with limited product placement of the sponsor itself. We bet you would not have related this campaign to Tiger beer if we had not mentioned this so explicitly here.
